I ordered a prawn curry, poppadoms, chutneys and naan bread. The chutneys were nice, some even looked homemade. There was a lot of chutney which was great. However, the mango chutney was very watery, and they should probably thicken it more. The poppadoms were kind of average, but 3 large ones came when I ordered one, so it’s a good size. The naan bread was a bit of a disappointment. The actual bread itself was nice and homemade, but it was smeared in this horrible butter that tasted like one of those cheap sandwich spreads. RAJPOOT PLEASE DON’T PUT BUTTER ON YOUR NAAN BREADS, OR USE SOMETHING MORE AUTHENTIC!! I think it was meant to be a garlic naan, but I couldn’t taste the garlic. The prawn curry had a nice flavour though. The prawns were clearly frozen, but the sauce boosted their flavour quite nicely. The main pros with this restaurant are the price and size of portions. It’s not one that I won’t order from again, but there certainly could be some improvements. It’s definitely worth a try with one of their deals.

Not the best curry I’ve had in Taunton, although it is very cheap (deal was set starter selection, any main, any side, pilau rice AND any naan for £17.95)…plus they gave discount for some reason!
The atmosphere is definitely lacking, it wasn’t very busy and they don’t have a licence so can’t sell alcohol (although you can bring your own in).
Service was shocking though and makes me not want to return – was very quiet but 30 minutes just to be given menus, wouldn’t let us order drinks until we had ordered food, waiter was visibly annoyed huffing and eye rolling when we weren’t quite ready to order and didn’t fully understand the offer, then visibly annoyed at someone who he had forgot to take their order from (?).
My curry was ok but the rest of the group did enjoy theirs and were given takeaway boxes to take the rest home as there was a lot of food.
Good value, the amount of chutney you get with poppadoms is definitely more than most places, but I wouldn’t go again by choice.

An adhoc takeaway, I called in on my way home. Immediate attention and quick service with discount and complimentary poppadoms / chutneys.
Lamb madras was very authentic and perfectly prepared Bhindi bhaji.
Top class tarka Dahl, but the star dish was the prawn rogan josh, which was possibly the best my wife has had over the last 50 years

If you’re visiting Taunton, this place is a must! We loved our experience here. We got the Peshwari Chicken, Cheese Naan, and steamed rice and loved it. The Peshwari has the perfect amount of heat, and I’m not normally someone who likes a kick. Overall, loved our experience!

Worst indian food ever. Just ordered from Delivero and it was really bad. I don’t get all this pozitive feedback. Doesn’t even compare with others from Taunton. No taste,the chicken was really dry,vegetable curry half of container with just green beans and 1 slice of courgete. Won’t be ordering from them anymore.
