After running a catering business for years, our owners Alicia and Javier finally realized their dream of opening a restaurant with the founding of Raja’s con Crema in 2019. As a family-run business, we know what it takes to provide our guests with delicious homestyle cooking and outstanding service. That’s why all of our dishes are made from scratch using fresh ingredients and are always served with a smile. So come join us for one of our traditional Mexican dishes, like our popular raja’s con crema. Wow! So glad we found this wonderful and authentic Mexican restaurant right by my hubby’s work place while traveling to southern California so we do not have to fight through the 35 minutes driving 5 miles in downtown LA traffic!
Their chip & salsa, first of all, was simply amazing and different! We tried their signature dish Pollo con Rajas Con Crema and the Steak Fajitas and they were beautifully plated and so tasty! You could tell the dishes are of great ingredients with simple seasoning to not take away from the freshness.
They then recommended Guayabate with Ice Cream for dessert plus sharing with us how this is a very authentic dessert from Mexico but as eaten with shaved ice. They modified now with French Vanilla Ice cream as the base and the fusion culinary creation is just the best!
It was combined with the Mexican Coffee – Cafe de Olla which is a little bit sweeten but with a very strong and well balanced taste that’s very different than your regular American standard coffee!
We enjoy everything we had here including our server who is very knowledgeable and hospitable. When we visit LA next time, we will definitely try to come again!

The food and service was delicious! My party has both kinds of chilaquiles and the shrimp tacos and it was all so good! I highly recommend. It is also decorated very nice. There is also parking on the left side of the restaurant if you can’t find parking on the street.

I went to Rajas con Crema in Maywood this past Saturday morning with my brother. I’ve been there before and have always had a great experience, but this was my brother’s first time — and it definitely didn’t disappoint!
We both ordered the classic rajas con crema plate, and it was absolutely amazing, just like every time I’ve been. The flavors were rich, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. My brother loved it too, and now he’s already talking about coming back.
The service was top-notch. The two gentlemen who took care of us were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for authentic, delicious food with great service, Rajas con Crema is the spot. Highly recommend!

This place should be the poster child, for hole in the wall.. a gem and a priceless one at that. Great staff, first class food, and in a place where you would least suspect it!!! It’s weird what it’s trying to be, maybe a Mexican/Italian fusion mixing some of the best of both worlds – cheeses/sauces- that makes dishes that are common into something that seems more elevated. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Rajas con Crema is a gem in Maywood. It’s the cutest cozy restaurant. For the past few years I’ve come here often for lunch and never once was disappointed by the quality of food or service. The food is delicious, and they have daily lunch specials. They also have the best margaritas in all of LA, my favorites are the tamarind and mango margaritas, fresh & delicious. The best part of coming here is supporting a great small family owned business.

One of those places where anything and everything on the menu is good. The cook (wife) and server/manager make a great team and serve up authentic Mexican dishes. Something like the wife’s sister’s husband is from Italy near Rome and now they have some really fine Italian pasta dishes as well. So you can get the Creamy Boscaiola pasta that’s amazing and carne en su jugo that is straight from Jalisco.
They start you with chips and salsa (2 were delicious) and you finish your pasta sauce with fresh bread that is so worth the carbs.
Tiramisu is Nonna’s recipe and executed to be just like we remember having in Italy. But don’t sleep on the guava jam ice cream.
Michelada was good. Sangria was delightful.

Nice restaurant in the city of Maywood. (not sure if they have rear parking spaces). Friendly server.
We ordered the queso fundido w/ chorizó as an appetizer. Chicken mole enchiladas, Cajun pasta and ceviche.
-The mole enchiladas were good. Nothing special about the sauce though. I’ve had tastier mole but I still ate it. The lunch special came with 2 enchiladas and sides of rice and beans. The beans lacked flavor. Rice was ok.
– the Cajun pasta was good! Just enough sauce and chicken. It was a creamy lemony pepper sauce.
The Ceviche is not your typical ceviche. It was NOT lemony and when asked what type of ceviche it was, the server said “tropical.” Needless to say my friend didn’t enjoy it and sent it back.
I ordered an horchata, but had to exchange it for a coke. The horchata lacked the cinnamon flavor I enjoy and you can taste a lot of the rice.
I’m pretty sure they have other dishes that are way better than what we tasted but I’ll probably not be going back to find out… sorry

I love this place. The outside doesn’t do justice to the look inside. You would never imagine how pretty and delish this place is. Family owned and ran. I’ve introduced this place to the locals that had no idea this was here. Some of them have tried to tell me there was no restaurant there (next to Ace Hardware).
They also serve Alcohol, have happy hour and home made Agua de and at times other fruits like

This review of five stars is based on the food alone. What are the Pollo corn Raha eat grandma for lunch and it was amazing. Restaurant salt is located in Lynnwood and I’m on the strip area and a small anything. The ambience OK but service was pretty slow.
The pollo was so good I will definitely be coming back for more! They also have a great loyalty special where you get double points between 2 PM to 4 PM on weekdays & when you get 400 points they give you $25 off your check!
