One of the best places in the Fremont area to get Indian sweets although you will not find the South Indian variety here. The desi ghee jalebis and gud(jaggery) jalebis are one of the best in the area. You can call in and have hot samosas ready for you in 10-15 minutes. Their Bengali sweets are fresh and great.
I have not ordered it myself but I have heard that their catering menu is good for punjabi food.

Raja Sweets – Union City was AMAZING!!! We catered our daughter’s first birthday party appetizer food from them, and the quality of the food was impeccable, and their service was amazing! It was very smooth and easy to work with them. They’re very responsive to questions, and do so in a timely manner. I will certainly be utilizing their services for any future events I throw! Thank you, Raja Sweets!

Here you have to pick up a box, wear a single use glove and collected your sweets into a box. There are no names and ingredients indicated. So you have to ask about every sweet.
I got a blue box and a box of jallabi. I paid just over $50 for both.

Raja Sweets used to be a pretty cool spot. Back in the day, it was affordable, and you’d get rice or bread included with your entrée, which made it feel worth it. Now they’ve cut back and only give bread, which is a letdown. On top of that, the prices have gone up over the years—like everywhere else—but here it feels like the increases hit fast, especially over the past three or four years.

Their biryani definitely isn’t worth $17. The portion is small, the rice is lacking, and it doesn’t even come close to Hyderabad Dum Biryani in Fremont which costs less. To be fair, biryani isn’t really their strong point.

What keeps me coming back are the curries and the yellow daal. Those dishes are consistently solid, with good flavor. The sweets are also pretty good, but honestly, Kabila’s does them better. Still, it’s nice to have something sweet to finish off the meal.

Customer service is good but not always great—they take phone orders without any problem. And one big plus: they stay open until 10 pm, which makes it convenient when you’re craving late.

Overall, Raja Sweets is just alright these days. It’s not the hidden gem it once was, but if you’re after their daal, curries, or a late-night snack, it does the job.

We stopped by Rajas Sweet for a quick bite. We ordered chole bhatura and dahi bhalla. Both were fresh and tasted delicious. They truly did justice to authentic Indian flavors.

They offer a wide variety of Indian sweets and snacks. It’s a must-try for anyone who is fond of Indian cuisine.

Raja Sweets in Union City is a hidden gem! The gulab jamun is perfectly soft and sweet. The samosas are crispy and full of flavor with a nice little kick of spice. I also tried the veggie biryani, and it was amazing— perfectly spiced, and packed with veggies.

The staff is super friendly and always ready to help you pick something new. The store is clean and inviting, making it a great place for a quick treat or to grab some food to take home.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

They have wide variety of sweets and Indian snacks. I tried their aalu parantha which was awesome. Their gobi parantha was good but a little spicy for kids. Their samosa and gulab jamun is a win win. Puff didn’t taste fresh. Out of all the sweets we bought kaju katli which was too sweet. Jalebi was good too.
I recommend their samosa and parantha. Service was quick. Their snacks like namkeen and matri are also good.
Prices are reasonable.

The samosa there has been good throughout. But we recently went during Diwali to pick up sweets – The sweets felt a bit off maybe they were prepared in bulk for the season, they felt flavored artificially with fragrance which wasn’t required. The quality of the sweets weren’t that good for the pay.

Samosa’s are best but…. Cashier is so rude. We felt like she is just donating us the food instead of we buying it. Oh my.. what an attitude she had. She wanted to throw us out as soon as she can. And we were not only one but all customers in queue next to us. Same attitude. We ordered to go Samosa’s but wanted to order Chai to drink there and she was big NO. Don’t stay here. Go out. What the heck. Fix your attitude guys. We are paying for it and thats why your shop is running.
