Everything (including drinks) came to under $50. The quality for value is definitely there. This was a 21st anniversary dinner for us, and our expectations were exceeded.
Absolutely amazing service by Ravi at Raja Chettinad in Mississauga! The place is always super clean, and the food is absolutely delicious. It fills my heart and soul every single time. This was my second visit, and I can confidently say I’m a loyal customer forever now.
Ravi has been so kind and accommodating on both occasions whether it’s providing extra chutney or the potato filling, he always goes the extra mile with a genuine smile. Truly sweet and attentive service that makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!
Most dishes tasted fresh and brought out those authentic South Indian flavors. They’ve got a solid mix of veg and non-veg dishes, so everyone at the table has something to enjoy — it’s not just a meat-lover’s paradise.
Parotta with Salna was well-made and comforting, and the biryani hit the spot with its spice and depth — fans of wetter biryani styles will enjoy this. The fried rice had proper Tamil Nadu street food vibes with a bold peppery punch.
The appetizer spread is impressive, from vada to bonda — just like you’d find in a TN snack shop. Kothu Parotta was average, and the Tawa Fish and Noodles were a bit inconsistent in salt and spice — but the team was kind and open to feedback, which matters, especially in the food business.
Beyond the South Indian focus, the menu also includes Indo-Chinese starters, North Indian curries, and tandoor breads, which adds variety for mixed groups.
Shahi Tukda aka Double ka Meetha was the perfect finish for the meal — rich and delicious.
A promising start, and definitely a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Curious to see how it settles in post-launch!
The menu is extensive, covering a wide variety of cuisines. While the ambiance is good, the space is slightly smaller compared to their Kitchener branch.
We ordered Biryani, Parotta, Kadai, Nattukozhi, Eeral, Botti, Fish Curry, Pomfret Grill, Dosai, and Mini Idly. The four varieties of chutney and sambar were flavorful, and the dosa was impressively large.
The Fish Curry was excellent, with a tangy flavor that paired perfectly with white rice. The Pomfret Grill was as good as expected, delivering the signature taste. The Botti was cooked perfectly, without any raw smell, making it one of the highlights. The Kadai and chicken dishes carried the same homemade spice flavor I enjoyed at their Kitchener branch. The Parotta was big, perfectly layered, and soft, making it a must-try.
Overall, a great spot for authentic Chettinad flavors in Mississauga!
The only significant area for improvement was the washroom. There was a persistent old building odor and stinky smell that made the experience quite unpleasant and, frankly, affected my ability to fully enjoy the meal. Addressing this issue would make an otherwise very good experience.
I had the Andhra masala dosa which was excellent, great portion of potato in the dosa and the sambars were delicious with the crispy crepe. Watch out it’s a bit spicy.
My friends enjoyed their dishes, especially the lamb biryani.
Service was friendly and efficient, the waitstaff offered us extra sambar dishes to help us share the dosas.
