Had an amazing experience at Raj Saffron House. It was my first time there and from the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and received great hospitality. The food was very flavorful and the spices added even more depth to each bite. Too tier service and food. Strongly recommend the grilled lamb. They even gave us complimentary tea and dessert along with the servers great food recommendations.

This is our second trip here. The first trip was amazing and the second was even better. Staff is overly attentive. Management is super friendly and hospitable . Food is on another level. I cannot say enough about this place. I don’t like chai and I don’t like rice pudding . This place converted me in both instances. Absolutely amazing food. Parking lot is very small but there is plenty of street parking. You won’t regret it!

This restaurant was amazing! The food was to die for. This was honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The lamb tikka masala was so tender and the service was amazing. Every staff member was so sweet and welcoming. They gave complimentary tea and desert for v-day. They even opened the door to welcome me and my girlfriend in! Loved this place. 10s across the board.

Absolutely love this place. Came here for the first time today and the service was amazing the place and the food were also amazing. We had no reservation but had a party of 5 they re arranged the tables quick and sat us right after the menu had plenty of options for almost anyone. All throughout the meal they came around and refilled our water glasses even if it was only half filled. Our food came out relatively quickly the service was amazing and with 5 people eating getting a starter and desert the price was not bad at all. I’m definitely coming back!!

It was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I was absolutely blown away! Definitely the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and every dish was both delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and elegant — truly a perfect fine dining experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and even treated us to milk teas and a complimentary dessert. Highly recommended!

Raj Saffron House is 10/10 amazing! I don’t leave reviews typically, but I’ve had multiple wonderful experiences here and want to show my support. I dined in by myself recently and everybody was SO kind. I was checked up on by I believe the owner and got to tell him how delicious the food was. At the end of the meal I was given a free rice pudding. It was my first time having rice pudding, it was great! I was very happy with the meal and we’ve ordered delivery a few times since, food is great every. single. time.

Last night I ordered a large meal for pickup. I arrived a bit early in the bitter cold and while sitting down to wait I was immediately offered a free chai tea. Piping hot and absolutely amazing. I thanked them and was told it was no problem, they like to show gratitude to their customers.

They’ve earned a customer for life, I’ll never get Indian cuisine from anywhere else than Raj Saffron House! Thank you all for your kindness, it’s a rare sight to see such genuine care. We will be back 🙂

Ordered catering and it was nearly perfectly executed, the food flavorful but not overly spicy, so it’s good for a diverse crowd. The daal was incredible, and it was even better the next day. The sea bass was tender, while the halibut was good too. The butter chicken was creamy and tender, especially good paired with the garlic naan. Only asterisk was carrot in the veggie biryani, but that was not a huge deal. The man who brought the food was quick, kind, and charismatic. Great food, great people, super grateful we gave Raj a try! Also loved the samosa chaat.

We came here on Christmas as way to avoid dishes and the family on the holiday. The food and service were EXCEPTIONAL! Ive always loved their take out but this was our first time dinning in and we will definitely be doing it again! We had the chicken tika masala, lobster something it had the most delicious coconut cream sauce, paneer pakora(My most favorite dish!!!)mango lassi, garlic nann, and chi tea and rice pudding for dessert, which I highly recommend! I dont know what exactly was in the rice pudding but it is definitely something everyone needs to try!

Just wow! Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere with truly exemplary service. Every single item was perfect and the complimentary chai and papadam were a very nice surprise. Such a great experience at a really reasonable price – we are already talking about a return visit. Don’t sleep on the Gobi Manchurian appetizer!

My wife and I love Indian food. So, when Ranjit closed his outstanding India House restaurant in Liverpool, NY, we began a search for a replacement. After 2 years we have finally found one in the Raj Saffron House in the Westcott neighborhood. We began our meal by sharing an appetizer of Gobhi Manchurian, cauliflower in a flavorful, complex, slightly sweet sauce that had a mild kick. We hadn’t had such a dish before, but we’re happy we chose it because it was delicious. We then ordered two of our favorite dishes to see how this restaurant prepared them compared to India House. Lamb Roaganjosh with requested mild heat and Chicken Tikka Masala with medium heat were both excellent. The cubes of lamb and white chicken in the dishes were tender and lean. Not knowing how the heat levels were defined in this restaurant, we were cautious. Next time, we will up the heat by one level for each dish. With our meals, we enjoyed delicious rosemary naan and poori breads. For dessert we shared a gulab jamun. It was the best version of this dish I’ve ever had, including those sampled at some of the most popular Indian restaurants in Manhattan, NY. It’ll be difficult not to repeat our order the next time we visit because everything was so good, but we will try to experience new dishes from their menu. The service was attentive and friendly, and the decor was attractive.
