I recently dined at Raj Mahal HH-Hamm and loved the food—flavorful and authentically Indian. However, the Chicken Tikka was undercooked from inside due to the large size of the pieces. If they made the pieces smaller or more even cooking, it would be perfect. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely return!

Don’t let the reviews fool you: almost all of the 5 star reviewers have three or less contributions on Google Maps. I have checked through every single review and the majority of them come from accounts that have only reviewed Raj Mahal and Milano Vice Pizza. Otherwise they review shops in India. Either someone took a busload of Indian citizens on a tour to these two places and then promptly flew them back to India or most of the reviews are fake.
We came here after seeing the very good reviews. We ordered two dishes: lamb madras and palak paneer. With that, we ordered a garlic naan. There is not much opportunity to eat your food there, so we took it home. It smelled nicely in the car on the way home. However, when we opened the containers, the food didn’t really stand out. The naan was dry and lacking in texture and flavor. The lamb madras was spicy as promised. Otherwise, it wasn’t very flavorful.
The palak paneer contained loads of paneer. Apart from that, it was something that I doubt an Indian chef would be proud of. It seriously lacked any flavor. There was no punch of spices to be found.
It’s okay food, but nothing more. If you want authentic Indian food I would suggest searching in the Hauptbahnhof area.
Update: they keep adding blatantly obvious fake reviews. Be mindful when deciding if you want to order here.

Chicken was taken from freezer and not fresh. The Garlic naan was burned and just they put some garlic flavour in a normal roti. I thought I will eat regularly as this is near from ny new office but very unfortunate! Hope they improve both foods and services!

It was my first time trying food from Raj Mahal and I ordered the chicken tikka masala which was packed with flavor, rich and creamy with just the right amount of spice. The naan was perfectly soft and fluffy, and the dal makhani was an absolute yum. I highly recommend this place .
