Very poor customer service. Phoned a takeaway order for collection 5:42 pm Saturday, was told approximately half an hour. I arrived at 6:15. Restaurant was empty apart from one person, seated, waiting for a takeaway. Waiter was on the phone, I gave him my name when the call finished. Instead of taking my payment and getting my order he proceeded to take call after call and stapling receipts. Over 20 minutes later and with 4 more people waiting another waiter came out and got my food. Priority was to take incoming orders rather than providing service and food to customers already waiting. My food was cold by the time I was eventually able to eat it. Appreciate it was a busy night but at this time of day the kitchen was managing, just poor front of house decisions and service.

I visited this Indian restaurant hoping to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine, but I was disappointed by the food. The Panner main curry was very sweet and lacked any spice or flavor. The Dal thadka was ok. The only good thing was the plain rice and tandoori roti which was soft and fresh. However, the restaurant had very few vegetarian options, I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for vegetarian Indian meal.

Our local business group chose the Raj for our Christamas do as it was highly recommended. The food and the atmosphere was great. We tried various dishes on the menu, and everyone was happy. The Epping Forest Business Group feel that it is important to support local businesses, and the high standard of the Raj made the evening very special.

Ordered a takeaway from Raj, Epping. It took 2 1/2 hours to be delivered (a 2 mile journey). The bottom of the carrier bag was sodden with oil and the food was barely warm, have had to reheat, hoping it will taste as it should.
Have ordered our Indian takeaways from here for many years – will definitely think twice in future. Not a happy customer.

The food is good quality, and service is faultless. I have been 3 times with family 6 of us and twice with friends .It is a shame that more people are not using this Indian restaurant. Prices are value for money. Plus, it is spotless. It is much better than other local places . No achohol . But you can bring your own bottle. I would 100% recommend.

This resturant has no alcohol licence, there is a Tesco store next door, Raj provide the glasses and do not charge corkage. Food is 10 out of 10. Reasonable prices, Staff are very friendly.
