I will not hesitate to return over and over with quality such as this. You can even pay more because of what you’re getting.
I’m definitely gonna come here during the summertime. To enjoy the outdoor patio. See attached pictures.
When you’re at the corner of 38th and Wadsworth, you can’t miss the Raising Cane’s. It is officially the “One Love” spot for a reason, especially if you’re looking for high-quality chicken that’s never frozen and always fresh.
Why this Wheat Ridge Spot Hits Different:
• The Box Combo: This is the gold standard. You get four perfectly breaded chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and a regular drink.
• The “Cane’s Sauce” Obsession: Let’s be real—the sauce is the star of the show. It’s tangy, peppery, and literally good on everything (I always order an extra one for the fries).
• The Texas Toast: It’s buttery, garlicky, and thick. Pro Tip: Ask for it “butter on both sides” for an extra crunch. Most people even swap their coleslaw for an extra piece of toast!
• The Lemonade: They squeeze it fresh daily. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and tart to wash down all that fried goodness.
The Experience:
The drive-thru at this location can get long because everyone in Wheat Ridge knows it’s the best, but the “Caniac” crew moves fast. They are always upbeat and make sure your chicken is steaming hot when it hits your hands. Whether you’re grabbing a Caniac Combo (6 fingers!) for a huge hunger or a Tailgate pack for a party, they never miss.
The greeting from everyone behind the counter brought a smile to my face. At first I thought it was a bit cheesy. On further thought I decided it was a nice touch to the impersonal world we live in. I was warmly greeted by my order taker along with some small talk. I settled on the three finger combo. He took my money and handed me a receipt. I had literally just turned away from the counter when my name was called – order ready!
The three finger combo was a lot of food. The tray was overflowing with chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast and a small dish of the secret sauce. All the food was piping hot. The chicken fingers were large, moist and meaty. Everything was delicious.
I know I am inviting the wrath of the secret sauce aficionados but it was the only thing I wasn’t impressed with. My first impression was that it was a very salty version of Russian dressing. I think I could mix up some ketchup, mayo and spices to match or closely approximate the sauce. That said, why bother? I tried it on literally everything on the tray and started to warm to it.
An employee sauntered by while I was eating and asked if everything was OK. I gave him a thumbs up and he thanked me for my business. Nice touch. Then, as I was making my way out, I heard a chorus of thank you’s from behind the counter. I entered with a smile and left with a full stomach and another smile.
I went through the drive-thru and everything was super smooth. The service was quick, staff was friendly, and my order came out fresh and hot. Love how consistent Raising Cane’s is definitely my go-to spot for chicken fingers
Ellie, who served us, was incredibly sweet and had such great energy. It was genuinely refreshing because so often at restaurants you’re met with rushed or negative attitudes. Her smile and positive vibe truly made the experience even better. She definitely deserves recognition!
Highly recommend this location.
