I went to canes for my lunch break (15 minute break) around when they first open on Sunday. when i got into line it was only me in it and it took over 20 minutes for me to get food and i couldn’t even eat it during my lunch break. i ended up having to get a refund because they take too long to do one persons order and i ate nothing for work.

Got combo The BOX which had 4 chicken fingers, fries, toast, salad, 1 drink and special sauce for $11.50. The chickens were good. The sauce was yummy. Good amount of food for the price.

Food was super hot. Chicken tenders were fall apart tender. Sauce 10/10. Sweet tea 10/10. Fries 8/10 (I’d like to see cheese sauce).
Employees were friendly.

Pretty grossed out tonight when I went here. Girl working the front had her hand underneath her shirt scratching her underboob area or in close proximity to it and then taking orders, making drinks and touching everything else without washing her hands. Disgusting. Manager if you’re reading this, it was this girl.

When Canes 1st came to the Metairie area I couldn’t wait to try it. It was excellent especially since my grandson only ate chicken and fries at the time. It was his favorite place to go. When we would eat there I would order a Caniac, 2 kids drinks, and 2 extra breads. That was more than enough for us to eat and got change from $15.00. Unfortunately that’s not how it is now, the prices have increased and the quality of food and service has decreased drastically. The last few times we’ve gone it was less than desirable. The chicken was rubbery and 1/2 the size it has been in the past, the fries (about 20) they were cold and soggy and they forgot to add the coleslaw, and hardly any ice in the drink, this particular time we went through the drive through and it wasn’t worth going back. We usually dine in and the employees were to busy clowning around to greet us. At one time everyone would shout out WELCOME TO CANES and were happy and friendly. NOT ANYMORE???When I picked up the order, the extra bread and coleslaw was missing. When I went back to the counter to let them know what was missing I was looked at like I was lying, I noticed they were not checking the orders anymore. Please don’t get me wrong they do still have friendly and eager to work, too bad there’s not more like that.

Like all the Raising Cane’s I’ve been to, this one is fast and the chicken is consistently fresh and hot. So go to Canes if you want good, hot, fresh Chicken Fingers with Canes Sauce on the side with good quality fries and Texas Toast. Your standard soft drink selection with the best ice in town and quality service. But if you’re looking for anything else or kind of variety, look elsewhere. Canes is “One Love”, because they do just one thing and do it well.

Writing this on behalf of my mom, a regular mallwalker at Lakeside who often speaks of how friendly the young people who work at the Raising Cane’s are when she orders her diet coke (even though she’s only ordering a diet coke). FWIW, I do like the fried chicken as well. 🙂

Quite possibly the best chicken finger from a fast food place. Cane sauce was amazing. Plus, the cashier was super friendly. We were waiting for a friend there and they offered us complimentary soft drinks while we waited. Great hospitality.
