I ordered food from this restaurant via the drive thru last night. I just got a box combo and an ice water. Upon receiving my food, I noticed it was hard to drink the water through the straw provided. It seemed like something was preventing the water. To my surprise and disgust, I opened my drink to find a large plastic bag segment (assuming to be part of an ice bag) sitting in my drink.

Considering the size of this bag and the position, I see no excuse as to how an associate didn’t see this before putting a lid on the cup. This seems to be either pure carelessness or intentional. On top of that, the chicken was dry, stringy and stale. Very disappointed in this experience, as the food issue I could understand a simple replacement, but the bag in my drink? I will never go to Cane’s again.

Always a top-tier fast food stop. The chicken is consistently hot, crispy, and made fresh, and the Cane’s sauce is easily one of the best around. The menu is simple, but everything on it is done really well — from the fries to the Texas toast.

Service is fast and friendly, lines move quickly, and orders are accurate. The restaurant is usually clean and well run, and the portion sizes are solid for the price. If you want reliable, great-tasting chicken every time, this place is a five-star choice.

We love their chicken- meat is all white and moist, sauce is SO good! Fries were perfectly cooked and their iced tea is perfect. Staff was friendly and parking lot had plenty of room. Great place for a quick bite.

Raising Cane’s nails the basics: fresh, juicy chicken fingers with that perfect crispy coating, paired with their addictive Cane’s sauce that’s tangy, creamy, and just the right amount of spice. The Texas toast is buttery and soft inside, and the crinkle-cut fries are solid—hot and salty. Service is always fast and friendly, even during peak hours.
Only docking a star because the menu’s super limited (no sides variety or spice levels), and the coleslaw feels like an afterthought. Still, when you’re craving chicken fingers done right, this is the spot. Worth the hype!

Im very disappointed this time with the food. The chicken fingers used to be so much bigger. Now they are almost the size of my own fingers. I think the price has gone up too.

Former regular — this location has completely fallen apart

Raising Cane’s is usually an experience, not just a meal. Unfortunately, this Des Plaines location has gone from one of the best Cane’s I’ve ever visited to a complete operational failure.

I used to eat here two to four times a week. There was always a visible manager on duty, the dining room was clean, the staff was engaged, and the energy was exactly what Cane’s is known for. I’ve even complimented management in the past because this store used to be exceptional.

That version of this restaurant no longer exists.

On my visit today (and on recent visits over the past couple of months), the dining room was dirty again — filthy tables, debris on the floor, and no one circulating to clean or check on guests. The table I finally sat at wasn’t clean, and neither was the bench. The restroom had no toilet paper, which says a lot about how little attention is being paid to basics.

The front counter was the biggest issue. One disengaged employee handling the entire front of the restaurant while five to seven customers stood waiting just to order or get food. No greeting. No acknowledgment. No “thank you.” Nothing. Meanwhile, there was an entire group of employees in the kitchen joking and laughing while the front of house completely bottlenecked.

At one point, a taller employee was on her phone, set it down on the ledge, looked at the line of waiting customers, and still didn’t ask if anyone needed help. Any competent manager would immediately pull support from the kitchen to assist the front. That clearly isn’t happening here — because there doesn’t appear to be a manager on duty at all.

Waiting nearly 10 minutes for food in a fast-food restaurant with plenty of staff is unacceptable. This isn’t fast food anymore — it’s slow food with a bad experience attached.

A restaurant is only as good as the manager running it, and this location has clearly lost leadership. It’s sad to say, but this store has officially lost my business. I won’t be returning.

This used to be a great Cane’s. I hope management steps in and fixes it — because right now, this location is failing at every level that used to make it great.

App refusing to take any form of payment which is just awesome. They took the card for an e gift card which the site said would be sent immediately only for confirmation email to say it would arrive in 6 to 12 hours.i have been a fan of canes for years but this whole thing has become an ordeal that has greatly and forever changed my views of canes as a whole. After 2 hours having a card that is fully activate not working your app also declined the gift card and then upon having to come in to order management didn’t even apologize for the situation and he has other customers sitting having the exact same issues. I manage a restaurant for work and I would at least attempt to compensate and or remedy the situation in some way

Raising cane’s ain’t let me down yet. Each one all around the country has been consistent in their service and quality of food.
When you keep it simple there is less to mess up.
The lemonade is pretty great and the chicken is even better.

The cashier at window 2 had an entire conversation with the car in front of us, didn’t care that we needed to get our food and go. Remember, this is by the airport and some of us have a flight to catch. If they wanted to catch up on old times the cashier should have told the driver to come inside. Then when I get to the window, all the plenaries were gone, why is that? When I was leaving she goes “sorry for the wait”, because she knew she kept us waiting while she had a few laughs with the patrons in the car ahead of me. No other cars were behind me so I guess she figured I can wait.
