The Fried Chicken is better than KFC and the Mac and Cheese is fire! Yummy Potato Logs, Cornbread, and other sides that I haven’t tried yet. They have the best Fried Apple Pies around and the only restaurant that I have seen that also has Fried Cherry Pies.

I lived in the south for eight years. I had a lot of fried chicken and I must say this chicken did not disappoint. It is from a gas station, but it’s really tasty. And it has a little bite to it which makes it even better tasting. My picky kids even enjoyed it and the prices aren’t bad. I have not had a bad experience here yet.

For the price and the quantity of food? Honestly, pretty solid. The classic chicken sandwiches are better than a lot of fast food. Could be served hotter, but it’s nothing to complain about and the employees I’ve interacted with are all decent folks.

Went in for a quick meal seeing as this seems to be a fast food chain. Waited far too long and was told it was due to the french fries, which is fine, but not when the cook in the back is placing one french fry at a time into the individual bags. The chicken tenders weren’t bad, however, my father had the classic chicken sandwich (which was ice cold by the time we got our meals) and said “this is the worst chicken sandwich i’ve ever had, it makes wendy’s look good.” The potato wedges WERE NOT potato wedges… they were crinkle fries. The only good takeaway was the biscuit in the chicken tender meal. The woman who took my order was nice enough, however, the cook in the back was extremely rude, yapping to coworkers and very slow. I would not eat here again.

A southern fried chicken and fried fish place INSIDE a 7-11. Hmm. I am IN.

Ever since Popeye’s stopped serving dirty rice, catfish, and jumbo fried shrimps, I’ve been wishing for a fast serve spot to take over the reins on these items. Well, Raise the Roost is it as it serves up delicious, crispy chicken and fried fish. Plus unique desserts like Cinnamon Pie (not for me, though). There are bone-in wings (yum), tenders, sandwiches, did I mention fish filet? (ha!). I only wish that the Nashville Hot variety is a regular menu item instead of a chicken sandwich special. Go, get your gas, grab your convenience store stuff, and while you’re at it, grab your share of a Southern meal.

Don’t expect 5-star service, though. Just make sure they take your order correctly and check before you leave. I mean, it’s quick serve inside a convenience store…

Chicken sandwich was very disappointing. When an employee finally came out to take my order I specified I only wanted the sandwich. I was charged for the whole meal. The photos make it look like a singular piece of chicken. I ended up with 2 tenders with the tiniest bloop of sauce. By the second bite the whole sanwich fell apart. The driest chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Ive tried contacting the store about being overcharged and my call is repeatedly forwarded. It does not appear to be a line designated for the business. If it was a good sandwich I would let go of being overcharged but it was far from it. Whole experience does not encourage returning by any means.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. My boyfriend and I went in and ordered two 3 piece tender meals. We waited about 20 minutes for tenders that weren’t even fresh. They were chewy and tasted like chemicals. All the employees seemed lost (but were at least friendly). The Mac and cheese was just bland frozen macaroni. Kinda hard to screw that up. So I ate the mac, but we threw the rest out, as it was inedible. Great waste of $20

WORTH EVERY PENNY.. A MUST TRY..
This is a chicken restaurant inside the brand new Seven eleven 7/11. We couldn’t wait for this place to open. during there grand opening we placed our order. We ordered one of the family chicken buckets we opted for 4 breasts and 4 each of thigh drumsticks and wings and that also came with two large sides of our choice. For a total of $25.99
Which was an incredible price for all of that. Let me tell you that was the best fried chicken I’ve had in a long time from a fastfood restaurant. And in a gas station at that…

i woke up today and decided i wanted some fried chicken. My first option is usually KFC but today was different…I decided to try the infamous “Raise the roost”. I walked in and was greeted by a smelly old lady that looked like she did not wanna be there. i ordered a 3 piece chicken tender meal expecting the best quality fried chicken I’ve ever had. Turns out my chicken was RAW! can you believe that . the texture of the chicken was fatty and slimy and inedible. I was crying and throwing up in the middle of the store, devastated, and disappointed. They really need to change the name to “raise the heat” cause maybe then their chicken would be cooked properly. i will never step foot in that building again

Update
The chicken joint has seen better days. Shame the prices have gone up. Mistakes when placing a custom order for one of their boxes. 2 tiny chicken wings. Not the leg or breast like when they started out last year. I visit the convenience store flat they are in all the time but never again Roost.
