Reviews
Sincerely,
Disappointing
Laid back atmosphere with bar and tvs. The noise level was low. We could hear each other talk. It was a Birthday get together.
But the bad reviews I’ve seen has to do with to young help, personally if it was me 4 the money they’ve put into this place they need professional cooks or trained cooked not 20s 30s year old..professional if they had money build all that why not have professional even chef
The Arnold Burger is not what it was when this place opened. They are using canned chili, not making it from scratch Carolina style, and that’s incredibly disappointing. I understand you have to make money but cutting corners on a local staple ain’t the way to do it. Tater tot portion for price point is skimpy.
My daughter loves the fries here, and she’s always treated so well by staff so I’ll continue to return for her but I’ll not be ordering food when we do because I can spend the same $ at Mac Smiths and get a WAY better product.
The menu is a step above bar type food if you want more of a meal. Altho we ordered wings, fish sandwich and chili cheeseburger lol
All were great! Especially the teriyaki wings!
Great crowd there, too, all ages, everyone enjoying their day.
Service was good, even though it was almost packed.
I’d definitely stop in again next time I’m in town.
Then the food arrived. I ordered the “wild caught salmon” with broccoli. It was literally a very dried out piece of salmon with a small dish of broccoli on a white plate… for $18.99.
Well, i noticed the broccoli was literally rotten with large brown spots. I notified a waitress and she acted as if i were crazy. No apologies or admissions… just “can i get you something else?” I chose a small salad with Italian dressing. She came back with the salad and simply said “try this” and then walked away quickly.
The dressing was very thick and gel-like.
With that, i pushed the food to the side and we left. I only ate half of the dried out salmon and drank my wine. That was my entire meal… for $23.00! What a rip.
It wasn’t the original waitresse’s fault, so i gave her a $10 new year’s tip.
Terrible food and service and we will never be going there again. However, the $4 Cabernet was great.
