We went to Raines for lunch to celebrate a few work accomplishments. The atmosphere was good. They were busy, but not so busy that the service suffered. Service was good. We sampled a lot of the appetizers and they were all good. I got the Hamburger Steak with all the goods on it and mashed potatoes as my side. It was cooked medium as I asked and had a good taste. I gave it 4 stars only because it was fried and not grilled. Still it was good. I will go back and get other items from the menu.

We stopped by after the Christkindlmarkt in the park, have never been so decided to check it out. There wasn’t very many people at this time and we were seated right away. We did however notice 2 hostesses goof off the entire time we were there =( instead of helping the 1 who did everything else. The downside was our service, right away she was very stand off-ish which didn’t make the experience pleasant. I’m not sure if she was having a rough night but we didn’t deserve how she set the tone and treated us.

Sincerely,
Disappointing

Nice place to go with friends.
Laid back atmosphere with bar and tvs. The noise level was low. We could hear each other talk. It was a Birthday get together.

The atmosphere is pleasing for both bar patrons and families. The service is the best part of Raines on Exchange as the employees are friendly and attentive.

The Arnold Burger is not what it was when this place opened. They are using canned chili, not making it from scratch Carolina style, and that’s incredibly disappointing. I understand you have to make money but cutting corners on a local staple ain’t the way to do it. Tater tot portion for price point is skimpy.

My daughter loves the fries here, and she’s always treated so well by staff so I’ll continue to return for her but I’ll not be ordering food when we do because I can spend the same $ at Mac Smiths and get a WAY better product.

Came here for dinner and ate every single morsel on my plate; it was that good! I had the fried pickle burger which was delicious. It could have used a few more fried pickles on it, but still was tasty. I got to watch the game while I was there too and it was a lot of fun!

Nice restaurant/bar right downtown Pendleton. Large roof top seating area with elevator access, too.

The menu is a step above bar type food if you want more of a meal. Altho we ordered wings, fish sandwich and chili cheeseburger lol
All were great! Especially the teriyaki wings!

Great crowd there, too, all ages, everyone enjoying their day.

Service was good, even though it was almost packed.

I’d definitely stop in again next time I’m in town.

I went there today, New Year’s Eve, with my wife. We ordered one house Cabinet and one Pinot Noir. They brought some unknown white wine for my wife, but she didn’t complain.

Then the food arrived. I ordered the “wild caught salmon” with broccoli. It was literally a very dried out piece of salmon with a small dish of broccoli on a white plate… for $18.99.

Well, i noticed the broccoli was literally rotten with large brown spots. I notified a waitress and she acted as if i were crazy. No apologies or admissions… just “can i get you something else?” I chose a small salad with Italian dressing. She came back with the salad and simply said “try this” and then walked away quickly.

The dressing was very thick and gel-like.

With that, i pushed the food to the side and we left. I only ate half of the dried out salmon and drank my wine. That was my entire meal… for $23.00! What a rip.

It wasn’t the original waitresse’s fault, so i gave her a $10 new year’s tip.

Terrible food and service and we will never be going there again. However, the $4 Cabernet was great.

Delicious burgers and wings. We stopped here for dinner after a Clemson football game and had excellent service and good food. The bar made of the original brick was a fantastic charming touch and the atmosphere was noisy but not too loud to talk. They had a good mix of games and commentary on for choice of watching. I will be back next time I’m in town!

Downtown Pendleton is a very nice restaurant for any occasion. Pot Roast is a must when you order, tasty and mouth watering. Service was too notch from greeting to tip. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner it’s worth the drive or become a local favorite.
