What an awesome find here in San Miguel!
The atmosphere was welcoming, three distinct levels, with different vibes of fun. Maybe best french fries in all of Mexico? crispy, lightly seasoned and not greasy, remind me to come hungry next time .
Everyone was super friendly, the music was fantastic, and just an all around fun place!!

Sunday band has great music playing blues! Surprisingly good food too – we were 3 vegetarians with good choices. Really fun vibe!

My favorite bar hangout in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Friendly staff, great place to make friends and listen to diverse music including Jazz, blues, rock, flamingo, older latin favorites plus others. You can even get a little dancing in at the downstairs bar. Upstairs is another bar area with dance floor where you can take salsa classes and enjoy salsa, Bachataand cumbia DJ. At times there are diverse groups that play at the upper bar as well or at the 3rd floor roof top area with great views. Definately my favorite go to place.

Raindog was recommended to us by frequent visitors. Fun upbeat vibe with multiple simultaneous music happenings for listening and dancing.

What an awesome place to catch live music. My only suggestion is to get there early on a Saturday because it was hard to find a seat. Great vibe though and amazing talent!

Raindog Lounge is such a cool venue for live music! I loved the reggae band! And the staff were both efficient and kind! I was underdressed for the weather and could not stop shivering. They gave me mugs of hot water for my hands and even gave me a shawl. They saved my night!

Great artists especially for sunset rooftop and special concerts in the lounge below. Dani makes the best espresso martinis! The only issue is there is no happy hour and the martinis are a little small (and not full up to the top like they have in Berlin Bar) and a little pricey. But it’s a great time and crowd.

The service was good, the music was excellent! We ordered the olives to start because a mix of green and black olives, warmed and stuffed, in mezcal, sounded very interesting! It was the same description in English and Spanish on the menus. But what we got was a cold bowl of olives and what was most likely just brine. And then we tried to explain what happened, so the server took it away but then brought the same thing back again, which we declined a second time. Then my partner’s pizza showed up cold and we waited for quite a long time to get a second round of drinks. We rarely ever complain, but then we complained. A nice person on the staff comped us a second round of drinks. Then I hastily paid the bill before my partner looked at it, so he asked to see it again and we were charged for the olives that we didn’t eat and didn’t match the description. It was a nice night but we basically just talked about trying to get what we ordered or trying to get drinks the whole time. By the end we just kinda hustled out because nobody seemed to understand that we were just saying that the menu description did not fit what we were served and if that’s all they had to offer, then we didn’t want it.
I like olives but if I just want to eat cold green olives in brine I don’t need to come to SMA; I can just stand in front of my fridge and eat olives out of the jar. But the people were nice and the music was good, it was just some issues that couldn’t get resolved no matter who we talked to and it ended up being stressful.

Our group of 11 were ready for a break and a cocktail while strolling down Zacateros, so we popped into Raindog Lounge. Two hours & more cocktails + food + merch later, we left for happy siesta.
The service, cocktails, & food was flawless. Such a comfortable place to spend celebrating friendship & Dia de los Muertos. Kudos to everyone there for managing a very busy afternoon with style.
Pleasure to meet the owner, too! Gracias!
