Good portions of fresh tasting fish for good prices! The salmon avocado roll has nice thick chunks of salmon with a good clean taste, and the sushi burrito at 15$ was a good deal, you get to pick 3 proteins and the burrito is mostly packed with your protein of choice. Their lunch specials are great value too. Nice thick cuts of fish in the lunch chirashi special!

Food is not as good as it was before. The spicy tuna had more mayo than tuna and tasted like canned tuna rather than fresh tuna. The rice is no longer the sushi rice I used to get—the rolls fall apart easily.
Service was good overall. It may have been a busy time, but I did have to get up from my seat twice to ask for a drink and for sauce.
This was my third visit, and unfortunately I can’t give it 5 stars.

Feb 2024: this is a small store but there is some seating. A pretty basic but clean dining area. Service was prompt. We had the shrimp tempura bento box. The side of rice was not very good and falls into a bunch of pieces. The tempura was ok though. Rate the box 6/10. We had the Phoenix roll which was a fresh lobster salad roll essentially (8/10). The Philly roll rates 7/10 and the Hawaii roll (mango, avacado) 9/10.

We love eating here on and off and ordering for pick up during the pick of pandemic. The rolls and siomai are consistently delicious… Which we usually order. Aside from that, Last night we tried some dinner menu like the teriyaki chicken that was described as grilled but not really, not good. The shrimp my wife ordered was not good too, not fresh. She normally like their shrimp but last night was failed. The calamari is always crispy, we ordered it 2x. We ordered some take home food which is worth it I guess if you don’t wanna cook the next day.

We were looking to try something new and be adventurous today for lunch, so we decided to try rainbow sushi! We eat sushi all the time but had never tried Rainbow.
We got the tempura vegetable appetizer, which was pretty good. The serving was really big for the price! It was a good mix of veggies, but could have been crispier, which might have just been a side effect of being carry out. I also got the Salmon lover roll, because I love salmon. The salmon lover roll was OUT OF THIS WORLD good! It could have been spicier, but the fish was fresh and the roll was well balanced.
We also got an order of Alaska Rolls, which we added cucumber to, which were okay. We tried the pineapple fried rice, but I wasn’t wild about it. It was good, just different than what I’m used to, it had curry in it. Last but not least, we tried a Thai dragon roll. It was good, very different than rolls we’ve had before. The only weird thing was how many rolls had avocado in them. It was fine for me, I’m an avocado fan, but my partner who dislikes it struggled.
Overall, the fish and everything else were fresh, prices were pretty reasonable, and everything was good. The online ordering app on the website we used to order was a little hard to navigate, but they had no trouble getting our order and it was ready quick. I can’t wait to go back and try a bunch of other rolls!

This was my first time eating here. Everyone was very friendly and the food was excellent. We had the Thai dragon roll, sashimi, hot pot noodle soup, yellow tail with jalapeños, miso soup, and hot & sour soup. All of it was super delicious and the hot pot noodle soup had lots of noodles. I definitely plan to go back.

First time to try this place! Ordered 28 piece sashimi and it came with rice. The pieces are super thick and very fresh! I tried other places and their sashimi pieces are not necessarily this thick! So great value! Although it was a bit long wait to pick up my order for dinner(the app said it would be ready in 20min but when I arrived to pick up I had to wait another 20 min), it was worth waiting! Will order again!

I had dinner with friends last night at Rainbow Sushi. Small place but nicely kept. The staff was professional, friendly and service oriented. I ordered a Bento Box with Japanese Spring Roll, Tuna Sushi and Sesame beef. This included Miso soup. The miso soup which normally I can take or leave was excellent. The Bento Box had a generous serving of sushi and beef. The sushi was tightly rolled, held together and was delicious. The beef was amazingly tender. I was very pleased with the service, quality of the meal and the price.

I have gotten sushi from here for years now and I’m a regular customer, but I don’t think I will be patronizing the restaurant much longer. I feel like there are other sushi restaurants that are way better locally (I visit rainbow sushi because I am used to it and it is a little bit closer to my home), and the pittance of soy sauce they give – they had given me two packets for two rolls & took those 2 out when I asked for low sodium soy sauce – plus their frugality around ginger and wasabi as well is very off putting.
