Great, comfortable local bar! If you’re looking for fancy, this isn’t it, but the owners are attentive and run a chill place. Food is good and cooked to order, drinks are served in accordance with Utah laws. Need to get back there for Steak night on our next visit!

I have been going to the Rainbow Saloon for over a year now and highly recommend stopping by for a beer and food. Steak night on Thursday is amazing and dare I say, in my opinion, one of the best steaks you can get in the area. Perfectly cooked and loaded with mushrooms and onions. Service is always amazing, appetizers are great, and Julie and her family are amazing people who truly care about your experience while there and the local community. They are always holding fund raisers for great causes and it really makes me feel great about dining there. I could go on and on about the Rainbow, but the they are a diamond in the rough and have become a staple for good food and fun times for my friends and family.

I really like the small town atmosphere. If you’re looking for fancy this isn’t the place. Down to earth staff and personable service. Genuinely friendly and eager to make new friends.
You have to have your ID checked as soon as you walk in. Drinks were good and delivered fast.
We ordered the wings mild that still had a slight kick. Sauce tasted a nice blend of BBQ and tomatoey. A little sweet and a little hot.
We orders the combo basket. I think the food items were cooked too long as some things were a bit beyond crispy. We plan on being back for the steak night as we’ve heard it’s fantastic.
If you’re looking a place that has regular customers that are like family, a place to have a beverage and just chill, come visit.

I’ve been coming here since I turned 21. I’ve tried to make it to every event that Julie and her team have put on. They are always for a good cause, they are meaningful & she/they do it to help others. I don’t even know of another bar who does so much to help the community and children and Primary Children’s for example…
I’ve been to an event where they honored one of their regular patrons who passed away. They raised money for his family. What other bar from West Haven to North Salt Lake does stuff like this? None to the best of my knowledge.
They don’t do it to benefit themselves, they are always trying to help the community. They are not getting rich off of any of that or the day today patronage. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced to where It’s a place that everyone can go including myself being a full-time single mom going through a divorce.
It has a homely feel and Julie and her husband and the staff make it feel as such. Everybody is welcoming, kind, respectful and professional. It’s a safe place for everyone. It kind of feels like Cheers where everybody knows your name.
The decor is cute, the location is great and they’ll treat you like family. If you’re not already a regular patron, come in and see what it feels like. You will be a customer for life. ❤️

Rainbow Saloon is the definition of a true hole-in-the-wall hometown bar. Terry and Julie run the place with genuine local charm—nothing fancy, just cold drinks, friendly regulars, and a laid-back vibe. This is classic no-frills neighborhood bar no facades of contemporary arrangements or inflated prices often found in other establishments. Their raffles are always fun, and steak night is legendary for a reason bringing my crew to check in on consistent basis. If you want an authentic Roy watering hole, this is it.

I had a really disappointing experience at The Rainbow in Roy, Utah. The customer service was terrible — the staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional. The prices are incredibly high for what’s being offered, and the condition of the place was shocking. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon, and parts of the ceiling were literally falling down. To make things worse, what seemed to be a manager was openly talking poorly about other employees to customers. Overall, this place feels poorly managed and not worth the money. I definitely won’t be going back there.

I absolutely love this bar! My go to place to have a few drinks and laughs with friends. Fun and friendly service! Julie is absolutely amazing. If I could rate 10 stars I would!

Super chill saloon/bar! Do not try to go in here with a motorcycle cut on they will kick you out! Not much to eat if you’re a vegetarian or vegan but fairly inexpensive prices on beer and liquor. No biker colors allowed! Has been here for 18 to 20 years and has a nice local feel to it. Gives to the community quite a bit definitely worth a stop in for a cold drink.

My sister and her long term boyfriend frequent the Rainbow Saloon. He has been very sick and in the hospital, and he passed away today. In one of the FB posts about this, it was mentioned that my sister had a plumbing problem at her house if anyone could help. A plumber showed up last night and fixed the problem at no cost to my sister. Rainbow Saloon made this happen. I can’t tell you how kind and appreciated this was. Thank you so much!!
