My husband had a tomahawk, it was made to perfection. I had a sirloin which was amazing. They have a large selection of sides compared to other places and this I loved. We ordered fried calamari, truffle fries and these lobster cakes. For dessert we shared a pecan cheesecake which was perfect for two. I’ve seen the slices for carrot cake, and it’s enough to feed a party or 4 lol. Overall great experience and will visit again.
For our entrées, my wife had the short ribs, while I went with the filet mignon, cooked perfectly to a medium rare. Service was a bit slow, though the restaurant was very busy, and the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, a great experience — I’d absolutely recommend Rails to anyone looking for a standout steakhouse in North Jersey. Just be sure to make a reservation to avoid a wait.
The only thing that had me in doubt was the drive because we live upstate NY. But the drive was worth it MILLIONS!!!
The restaurant has its own magic because it has around 5-6 different “rooms” which all have their own name. The specifics rooms that caught my attention were the Cave & Speak easy.
So, for my good luck the room speak easy was only open on weekends and his birthday was on a Wednesday & The Cave had an event going on.
But the part that I loved was that when I called a sweet lady ( I don’t remember her name – but she is the one on the video below) told me they will happily give me a tour of the restaurant so we can see all the rooms.
The day of the reservation I arrived 1hr earlier so we can have the tour & for my blessing the lady that I spoke on the phone was the same person who gave me the tour. She is the sweetest and explain everything to us so detailed.
After our tour we sat on the bar for a little while because we still had time for our reservation & we wanted to enjoy the restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly & have an amazing customer service which I loveeeed.
After we stat on our table – I picked the room called the Library for our dinner. The manager ( a guy) came just to make sure if we had the tour.
Then we had attending our table Manuela & Patricio. They were so sweet, attentive & we really had the best experience. We also had Isamar she was a sweet young lady.
The food , Ugh!! All was to die for.
The Appetizers were the bomb. I personally loved the wagyu sliders; but we also had oysters. As my main course I had the skirt meat & mushroom & my Fiance had lamb chop with mash potato & we also got for the both of us the lobster Mac cheese. As a dessert we had their special butter cake (delicious) & also gelato with chocolate syrup.
I could say fall in love with this restaurant. Starting from the customer service , food, drinks , the beautiful scenarios (rooms) & finishing with the great ambience.
I would definitely come back soon & I will recommend this restaurant to anybody. Even if they live far like me, the drive it’s definitely worth it.
I made a reservation on a Wednesday after seeing a promotion on Instagram for a surf-n-turf special. Lobster tail and a 28 day aged Kansas steak, which is what I ordered.
Great atmosphere with cool themed rooms like their speak easy, library and cave for those special events.
When booking, we specifically requested seating in the standard dining room. There were several open tables visible, and we watched other parties being seated in that area, which made the situation even more disappointing.
Our waitress was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and professional—and the food itself was good. At the end of the meal, we mentioned the seating issue to her. She explained that the restaurant was extremely busy and that the area we were seated in has a specific designation that we must have selected. Unfortunately, we did not choose that option.
Overall, it was disappointing to be seated in a corner overflow area despite making a reservation well in advance for a special occasion. The service and food were enjoyable, but the seating experience did not match expectations.
We will not return.
