Hidden gem in Centralia! Super friendly staff and massive coffee shop with tons of seating options. The menu is extensive and the service is pretty quick. We got 2 drip coffees, 1 cold brew, and 1 Avocado Eggspress bagel all for $26. All of it was good and we will be back.
Note, the credit card machine doesn’t have a tip option so bring cash to tip the staff – they deserve it!

This place is NEAT! We were in town for a wedding, and went there three (3) separate times (twice at night for the new “speakeasy”
on opening night, and once for a morning hibiscus tea). The staff is not particularly fast (it’s rural Illinois), but they are all very friendly. Spent a while talking with the owners/partners on opening night of their new “speakeasy”. The interior is really decorated in a fun way with a lot of railroad–themed decor, as well as other antiques! Cocktails were priced fair. Everyone in our group had a lot of fun going there on Friday night for the”speakeasy” and Saturday for morning tea. It was our intention to have breakfast there on Sunday morning, but we had to depart before they opened. If I lived nearby, it would probably be one of my favorite local businesses to support. Lots of opportunity to partner with local artists, antique dealers, and estate sellers. They apparently do a Halloween themed party each October. The T-shirts looked really cool!

This was such a cool coffee hangout. The decor adds flavor to the place but the service and relaxing environment is what makes it stand out. The beverage pricing is decent and the parking is adequate. It’s a nice locale to unwind and you can’t put a monetary amount on peace. I recommend this spot!

An absolute gem of a place! The food and drinks are always delicious, the staff are attentive and delightful, and the atmosphere/environment is tastefully decorated with unique signs, furniture, and other decor themed with railroads and Centralia (and other local communities). A truly Centralia-encompassing, queer-friendly, hip cafe! My favorite quad-county cafe by far!

Been to RAIL Coffee Room in downtown Centralia, Illinois several times. Very nice place to visit. Great coffee. Try the bottomless drip coffee or even a hot vanilla latte or a frappe.
Food is great too. They offer a nice variety of food and even switch it up almost every season.
I’ve also brought my laptop in and did my work on WordPress articles and web design. Super solid wifi. If you forgot your headphones, the music is great too.
Lastly, don’t forget to take a walk through and see all the decor.

Love having Rail in town! Delicious bites & the menu is always rotating with great new additions! The coffee so good. Love the seasonal lattes. The place is eclectic and great aesthetic for local train lovers. Calm enough to do work or zoom from the location or meet up with a friend! The team working is friendly, remember your name and quick to make you happy!

A great little coffee shop! The building has so much character! The decor is fantastic! The employees are fast and friendly! The food is great and the coffee and drink selection is fantastic! Coffees, smoothies, craft beer, wine, and teas are available. The atmosphere here is so inviting! Whether you are looking for a sunny window seat where you can see and be seen, an open seating area for groups, intimate tables for two, a lounge area with a couch and chairs, or a small balcony overlooking it all, they’ve got you covered! This is my favorite hangout and definitely my go-to place!
