The food was delicious, and it’s clear a lot of care goes into it. That said, the customer service could use some improvement, especially for first-time customers. There seemed to be an expectation that guests already know what to order, which can be challenging if you’re not familiar with the cuisine or traditions.
I also had difficulty getting information about the catering menu and pricing—despite asking, I never received the details.
Overall, the food alone would bring me back, and I would absolutely dine here again.

I used to eat here weekly and never had to check my food. I move out of town and stopped by and the service and food is not it. They are penny pinching the food and apparently, some items that come w the meals are not replaceable if not available. Ie egg.. The red red was flooded w plantain. fish was drier than the saudi desert, no kidding. Honestly the hardest plantain Ive had. Not sure why they are selling toughed out plantain. The beans was non existent like the beans is not the main dish lol Apparently they dont care much but I care enough to pen this review. You can call ahead to put an order in only to come and wait another 15 minutes for your food. Kindly do better

Yeah, the jollof rice is so flavorful with the right amount of spice level. The plaintain was soft and sweet. Meat in the okra stew was really tender very happy with my order and the price was really great! Cannot wait to go back

So much improvement noted in the location. Foods covered and several assortments noted. I usually always purchase rice balls and peanut butter soup. I always have to purchase extra meat because there’s not enough meat in one order. The peanut butter soup is always flavorful and with the right amount of spice

The food seems good and fresh but the meat is still very tough especially the beef and fish. It seems as if it’s a day or two old.
Ask for service very poor and always busy, people do not respect the lines nor the waiter do anything about it. They have renovated from 3+ yrs ago but not much changes within the organization. I always go there but for the past year I’ve been visiting the other African restaurant on Hedges Run Dr. Giant shopping center.

Just ordered TZ from here. It will be better if they limit the amount of stew they put in the soup. This was my first time and all I had was plenty of stew and oil not the green. 45 dollars for food I didn’t enjoy

First Time Trying African Food. As a pescaterian, it has been hard to find good authentic African food without the major meats. The women allowed me to substitute a dish for fish instead! So lucky me, I got to try my first African dish from this establishment, and it did not disappoint!! The food was fresh, and still hot when I got home! Can’t forget to mention the food was plentiful and very delicious for a reasonable price! The lady told me they have been open for 13 years and can honestly see why! It’s a Hole in a wall type of place, but it’s a 10/10 for me!!

so i left a very disappointed detailed review came back and it’s magically gone so AGAIN…

ZERO STARS…
WHY…

there was a sharp plastic piece of god knows what in my beans AND I HAVE A TODDLER SO IF HE WOULD HAVE BIT/EATING THAT IMAGINE IF IT WOULDVE CUT HIS MOUTH OR HE CHOKED, im thankful im the one who bit it!!!!

i wanted to try a new african spot and the one i typically go to (LAPAZ IN MANASSAS highly recommend) was too far and dnt deliver where i am…so i chose this place

the 1st issue was the sharp plastic piece that the restaurant i guess denied according to uber eats…you literally see the palm oil and food why would i make this up I SHOULD BE REFUNDED BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS THAT UNSAFE ITS UNSANITARY AND DISGUSTING LIKE WHAT IS THAT? WHERE DID IT EVEN COME FROM…

then what added fuel to the fire was the soup was entirely too salty ive had pepper soup PLENTY OF TIMES so i knw how things should taste and this was just salty..the plantains werent good and the fish (croaker)stunk – i ordered things ive had multiple times so again i know how everything should look, smell, taste…

the hard/sharp plastic piece and the lack of accountability is really what did it for me. spent $50 for what? we went to bed hungry and pissed

wouldnt recommend and definitely wnt ever try again.

Pro Tip: First time diners should talk to either Ruky or Hafsa (or both) for recommendations. You can thank me later
