A must-try when you’re in Dundalk. Highly, highly recommend.
Two of our party ordered the raan e sikandari, a lamb dish very well seasoned and aromatic, with very tender roasted lamb. I had the jhinga moilee, a dish with king prawns that were so tender and flavorful, in a coconut curry sauce that was also very delicious. I would definitely order that one again as well!
Highly recommend!
Adding to this review when the desserts showed up. We had the lemon cheesecake and gulab jamun, both delicious and a perfect ending to the meal.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a family dinner. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in town. Will be back soon!”
The atmosphere is very elegant and the food is fantastic.
Highly recommend for some Top-tier Indian Cuisine!
The restaurant itself is small, but beautifully decorated with a cozy and welcoming vibe.
We genuinely had such an enjoyable evening and will definitely be back. Our city needs more gems like this — serving amazing food. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or is looking for a new favourite spot!
So much so that they compelled us to try something different – a type of Indian/Irish crossfusion – the chef’s special Lamb Shank. I doubt I’ll ever eat lamb in the same way again – unless its RAHA style.
But the music – it is at least eclectic. I’m usually always impressed by the audio asthetic as feature of Indian resturants – but this was on a whole nother level.
Not a smattering of compromise to euro tastes. Pure Indian/Irish-mayo college.
We had both chefs specials – The chefs Lamb being the more ‘punchy’ and the chefs special chicken (to my shame I can’t recall the indian name) well.. the spices far from being immediatly kitch, took time to both announce and withdraw all the flavours to which one was exposed.
The waitresh also display accomplished palate knowledge with regard to wine choice and are entertainingly convincing, though never offended. I did defer when advised – and glad that I did.
The decor and seating cutlery etc. are of the highest standard one would expect from such a joyfully proud Indian restaurant, yet it is never invasive. You get the idea that they are proud Irish Indians.
Try RAHA Dundalk style.
You’ll be glad you did.
I still remember the flavour of the Special Biryiani.
I have to post an empty plate as it was all enjoyed before I thought to take a pic! Well done all.
