Ariana was the waitress tonight and she was amazing. She put me by the fireplace because I was cold and that gas fireplace was so cozy to sit next to and have dinner by!
I had Friday fish fry, and it was delicious!
The fish was fabulous, and the fries were crispy and seasoned.
Ari came often to see if I needed anything and was so sweet! You couldn’t ask for better service!
The dinner by the way was sooo reasonably priced and you got a pile of fish. I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

Found Rae’s after a local pizza joint didn’t have pizzas. Highly recommend trying Rae’s pizza. Tonight we dined in. Fish Fry Friday was good too. Many options to choose from to get the kind of fish you like. Hamburger huge and yummy! Another in our group had steak and onion rings, though the quantity of onion rings could have been slightly increased, he also liked his meal. Salad bar was clean and had the essentials for a salad bar. Even a few cold salad options. Atmosphere is typical bar. However no blaring music so conversation was comfortable. Outside seeing area is nice too. Despite a group of 17 before us the food was served quickly. No fault of the two working the bar and dining room-they were short staffed – it took a bit to get our bill. Service was always with a smile! Impressive! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I were in Shell lake for the weekend. Raes Bar and Grill is located across from our hotel. My husband had cajun style alligator bites, fried walleye and a brandy old fashioned, and he said he would order it all again. I had Buffalo wings and chicken bacon ranch wrap with homemade French fries and I would order it again. Everything was great. Our bartender Arri was great and answered all the questions we had. We didn’t get the other bartenders name but he was great also. We will definitely be go back.

Great service and amazing fish fry! Not too many places offer a choice of cod, walleye, bluegill or perch. I went with the walleye…look at that slab! Highly recommend!

A fantastic experience. The food is delicious and personally I like their walleye bites. The walleye bites are very tender and have a great smoky flavor. We go twice a week to eat and play bingo.

My party got the fish fry, fish tacos, and I got the Sriracha lime shrimp.
I would happily get these shrimp every time I come here from now on. The fish was also delicious, but I was impressed with the seasoning and the cook on the shrimp. Very good!

Had a nice dinner with my young son at the “Packers table.” We both had burgers and shared some curds. Went here originally as not much is open on Sundays, but was pleasantly surprised by the experience from food to staff. This place is probably a lot of fun during a NFL game! Definitely give it a shot if in Shell lake or nearby.

Went to raes bar and grill , I would have never believed a great place could go down hill so fast inside of a month. We experienced terrible service , rude female bartender and it seems like the owners have really let raes bar and grill go downhill! We always had amazing service and great food, the people from minnesota that own this place better start paying more attention to their business and bring back the amazing place it used to be and please bring Pat back as a bartender! Until things change , I do not recommend Raes . There are better places to have a cocktail and food in shell lake !

Our waitress came around once our twice. The bartender started taking care of us and was awesome. A lot of the food was very salty. We told the bartender and he took care of it immediately with the cook. The waitress finally appeared as we were ready to leave. It was not busy at the time we were there. The pizza was really good.
