There were multiple points of miscommunication during the meal – not having our reservation being checked off and being notified on opentable; having two waitresses ask for our drink orders; and then having the chef come and let us know the kitchen was closing without realizing we had already ordered.
Besides that the food was good! Very filling. However, the dessert felt like an after thought. It had clearly come from a refrigerator and was therefore cold and hard when I assume it should have been room temp at least.

The Well-Wandered Traveller
Radius feels very much like Hamilton’s answer to Cactus Club: a polished, energetic spot with a stylish atmosphere and a menu that delivers. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this is a place designed for both casual nights out and more elevated dinners.
The food was spot on across the board. The ravioli was a standout: rich, hearty, and generously portioned. It’s absolutely delicious, but fair warning, if you’re thinking of sharing, you may regret not ordering your own plate. It’s that good. We were especially looking forward to the spring rolls, having enjoyed them on a previous visit, but unfortunately they were sold out this time.
Instead, we tried the wonton nachos, which were a fun and unexpected twist on a classic. They had a nice kick to them, balancing flavour and heat well, and made for a solid appetizer choice. The truffle fries were nicely crispy and full of flavour, honestly, the only disappointment was wanting more because they were so enjoyable.
For drinks, we opted for both the Pinot Grigio and the Chardonnay, and each was a good choice. Well-balanced and easy to drink, they paired nicely with the food and complemented the overall experience.
To finish, we shared the caramel cheesecake. It was quite filling and definitely indulgent, with a heavy hand on the caramel: great for those with a serious sweet tooth.
A quick note on logistics: parking is something to be mindful of when planning your visit. There is paid street parking and a paid parking lot nearby, but both can be busy depending on the time and day.
Atmosphere-wise, Radius really shines. There’s an upper level that’s ideal for events or larger gatherings, and the patio is especially charming- perfect for summer evenings, but equally cute during snowy afternoons when you want to be cozy indoors with a view.
Overall, Radius is a strong dining option in Hamilton: stylish without feeling pretentious, with consistently good food, a lively vibe, and a layout that works well for everything from date nights to group celebrations.

What an awesome street – the vibe is too cool. There is not a lot of street parking considering all the restaurants on this street. However, there is paid parking at the corner; it was free Sunday!!
We opted on sitting inside, it was a quiet Sunday brunch service. I was seated without delay even though my sister had not yet arrived. I had the most delicious cup of coffee while I waited for her.
Our server was fun and added to the wonderful experience we had at Radius on Hess! There was a large group upstairs, she apologized that it would inevitably slow our food coming out. We didn’t mind at all as we were comfortable enjoying our surroundings.
The food was delicious and filled us just enough. We tried the Smoked Salmon Playterie and the Classic Benedict.
There were many other dishes I would love to try on their menu; there will be a next time for sure…

Came in on a quiet Tuesday night and had the best time! Vivienne was a wonderful server and gave us incredible food recommendations all night! She was so friendly and helpful especially when it came to picking a wine course. We had her surprise us with a second course of drinks and she absolutely nailed it! We got the oysters, brussel sprouts, short ribs, and seafood linguine and it was all delicious! Thanks for such a fun night out! 🙂

I was very excited to try this restaurant but it was a disappointing experience. Took more than an hour and half for any of our food to come out. I had a Caesar salad with chicken that was worse than any I’ve had at a casual bar or pub. The chicken was so dry and hard. Definitely not fine dining or even elevated food experience – the price tag makes no sense. The truffle fries were uncooked and you get about a handful. My friend’s steak was overdone. The halloumi salad flavourless. Honestly not what you expect for this calibre of restaurant. They did bring us bread and butter on the house due to the wait but even the bread was stale and not nice. The service was okay and the cocktails were very good I have to say.

We dined at Radius on Hess for our anniversary. They have a beautiful outdoor patio set up in the summer with hanging lights, comfy chairs and inviting atmosphere. Inside is beautiful as well, perfect for date night with dim lighting and classy vibe. Food was great! We ordered: oysters, caesar salad, and steak frites. Steak was cooked well (medium rare just as we requested). Service was OK.. could improve on friendliness however overall great experience.

I was told this restaurant at both locations served great food. I was extremely disappointed by the poor level of service by the kitchen. From the time I ordered my meal, to the time of its arrival – it had already been 1.5 hrs with nothing but an apology for the delay. Once the food arrived from the “window” as told numerous times – it came to the table cold and appeared as if the meat was frozen prior to cooking.

Went with a group of friends out the food took way too long we waited 2 hrs before being served our dinner which was clearly not okay. However the staff at radius did try to make it up to us after we kind of made a stink about it. We recieved a free dessert and drink for a group of 12. Food however was on point. It came out hot and fresh after the 2 hours, i had the short-rib and i must say i enjoyed it along with nachos
