Good service and good food!
Very cool place to stop at for light lunch, coffee, pastries and good vibes!

Had the avocado turkey! Simple and delicious. Their pastries were surprisingly good. Very good. The pecan square was great!

Rachel’s Kitchen at The District in Green Valley is one of my favorite places to enjoy lunch when visiting Henderson, NV. I usually order the Chicken Caesar Wrap or one of their fresh, delicious salads, but this time I decided to try something different—the Huevos Rancheros—and it was absolutely delicious! The avocado was fresh, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the dish was served on flavorful corn tortillas. It was a nice change from my usual go-to wrap or salad.

My boyfriend ordered the Tomato Basil Pasta and enjoyed it as well. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant for breakfast or lunch if you’re in The Green Valley District.

Rachel’s Kitchen is a local establishment that promises a fresh, casual dining experience. Our recent visit was a study in contrasts, highlighting a significant disconnect between the commendable service and the disappointing quality of the food. While the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, the kitchen’s performance left much to be desired, turning what should have been a pleasant meal into a regrettable one.

From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. The staff was welcoming, quick to seat us, and consistently checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s a testament to the front-of-house team that despite the issues with the food, the overall atmosphere remained positive. They created an inviting environment that made us want to enjoy the meal.

Unfortunately, the food itself was a major letdown. The dishes arrived looking promising, but the taste and texture were far from what we expected. The omelette was incredibly dry, almost as if it had been cooked for too long under intense heat. It lacked the moist, fluffy texture that defines a well-made omelette, making each bite a chore to get through.

The other breakfast item, the avocado toast, was similarly flawed. The menu promised “sunny-up” eggs, but what arrived were eggs that were nearly hardboiled. The yolks were completely solid, betraying the very essence of a sunny-side-up egg and robbing the dish of its intended creamy richness. The lack of attention to this simple request was a significant error that ruined the dish.

In summary, while the staff at Rachel’s Kitchen is absolutely fantastic and provides a warm, welcoming experience, the quality of the food falls dramatically short. The poorly executed omelette and the overcooked eggs on the avocado toast were prime examples of a lack of culinary care. Given the poor quality of the dishes and the cost, this is a place I would not recommend.

This is almost like a self service restaurant. You order first, pay and then a small service robot will bring your food to the table. You almost need to clean your table after you finish and leave the plates in the collection table. Ordered the favorite breakfast with potatoes, chicken and barley soup (soup of the day) the chicken tender wrap, a pecan bar and the Hawaiian bliss smoothie. The favorite breakfast eggs were overcook but it was not salty, which is good. The chicken and barley soup was delicious and not salty, but the chicken tender wrap, was average since the chicken was really overcook. The Hawaiian bliss smoothie was too sweet and too much sugar but the pecan bar was perfect amount of sweetness….

My recent experience at Rachel’s Kitchen at The District in Henderson was extremely disappointing, and it’s unlikely I’ll return. (Date 5/11/24 at 10:50am)

I’m giving them one star solely because the food was decent; however, the service was remarkably rude, disrespectful, and seemingly prejudiced.

While waiting for Warby Parker to open, my family and I decided to stop by Rachel’s Kitchen for smoothies. With 30 minutes to spare, it seemed like the perfect spot for a quick drink. With our smoothie order, we decided to add a few sandwiches: the Turkey Club, PB&J, and The Ultimate Grilled Cheese.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly so far. We sat outside and waited for our food. The sandwiches arrived in about ten minutes, but there was no sign of our smoothies.

After another ten minutes passed, we inquired with our server about the smoothies. She promised to check on them but returned after five minutes with no update. Frustrated, I went inside to inquire and was ignored for five minutes until someone finally addressed me.

To my dismay, our smoothies hadn’t even been started. They printed a new ticket and placed us back in the queue. After another ten-plus minutes, I had to approach the counter once again to check on our order, finally receiving our drinks.

At this point, I was thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was completely ignored. The server turned away and walked off while I was speaking, which I found extremely rude and unprofessional.

I understand that this area and restaurant cater to an upscale crowd, and perhaps I’m not their ideal customer, but this level of service is unacceptable. The fact that our concerns were dismissed and we were treated with such disrespect leads me to believe that there may have been prejudicial attitudes at play. Regardless, every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their perceived status or background.

What a dumpster fire. Before the food even arrived, I was at 3 stars because of the overwhelming smell of Pine-Sol/cleaning solution. It was almost unbearable. My wife ordered first. She clearly, and multiple times, stated she wanted non-runny, FIRM eggs on her Huevos Rancheros. I ordered avocado toast and a side of pancakes, and my son got the breakfast burrito with potatoes (home fries). The food was cold (can’t say it was even lukewarm). They screwed up the order, putting the runny eggs on my wife’s Huevos Rancheros and gave me the hard eggs on my avocado toast (I was looking forward to over-easy eggs on my avo-toast). We didn’t complain because there was just too much wrong with the order, we’d literally have to ask for a full refund and walk out. My wife ordered a lemon tart pastry. She didn’t eat it, saying it smelled “eggy”. I love lemon tart, and I told her I’d gladly eat it after my meal (I was still trying to be positive at this point). After my meal, I went for the lemon tart and literally spit it out. It was DISGUSTING. Tasted and smelled like eggs, like a very very strong egg odor and foul taste, couldn’t pay someone to eat it. My son’s breakfast burrito had the hardest, most unripe avocados, that I literally couldn’t cut the avocado with my fork on my plate, and the food was just cold. His potatoes/home fries were not only cold, but they were stale. My son literally loves fried potatoes/French fries. It’s pretty hard to screw up fried potatoes, but here we are. They were stale, like when you order fast food and the fries are stale? Yeah, like that. The syrup for the pancakes is some weird corn syrup concoction. It leaves behind long spidery strands of syrup which are very unnatural. It’s definitely not maple syrup, and it’s definitely some lab made slop. And guess what? $65 ($58 + $7 tip) for this trash. Literally trash, because that’s where the food went, into the trash. 1 star because the coffee was good and I enjoyed the avo-toast after swapping eggs with my wife. She’s feeling nauseous because of the lackluster food. How is this place in business?????

This was solid experience with some cool points for the robot waiter that drove the food to the table. Food was a bit pricey, but I believe that is for the location. Nothing stood out as exceptional, but was all good. We tried their version of French toast, which i did not care for, it tasted more like a cinnamon roll. Overall, you will get a bit over priced descent breakfast. Not a bad experience, just not exceptional. If I was in this area, I would eat here again, but I would not go out of my way to go back.
