First time here, and we won’t hesitate to return! This is the best food in Ramona, we appreciate great food anf Rachel’s did not disappoint!
First of all, our server Terri was wonderful, very friendly and great service. The place is comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean!
I had the chicken salad croissant with sweet potato fries, this was a very generous helping of both items, though for 2 meals for me. The tarragon in the chicken salad was perfect, not too strong, excellent flavor balance and the red grapes were crispy and perfectly sweet.
My husband had the steak frites, he asked for it as rare as possible and the kitchen knew just what he meant. Perfectly cooked for his tastes! The whole plate was amazing.
We both had the maple bacon Bloody Mary, very well prepared and definite hit the spot.
We will be returning with our teen daughter immediately, who is the big foodie in our family, and I know she will love this place!

Rare Steak, Loaded Bloody Marys, and Bacon That Deserves Its Own Fan Club
Stopped in for a bite and ended up finding our new favorite spot in Ramona.
I ordered the steak frites and asked for it as rare as legally allowed. It came out just past mooing and just how I like it! It was absolutely perfect. My wife went for the chicken salad croissant and declared it “dangerously good,” which I’m pretty sure means I’m losing her to this sandwich.
Now, the Bloody Marys? These are almost a meal with a chaser. They’re stacked like they’re trying to win an award for Most Instagrammable Brunch Beverage. Fair warning: the candied bacon garnish is a bit sweet so if you are a savory person be warned. Sweet mother of pork it’s worth the trip alone. I’d come back just for that bacon.
Service was spot on. Our server Terri was Friendly without being fake, and fast without making you feel rushed.
We’re foodies, and we eat out a lot. This was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time and without the pretentious downtown pricing. Ramona, you’ve got a gem here. We’ll definitely be back, probably too often.

While visiting Ramona, we Googled a place to eat, and we were actually on our way to The Barn, and a person in our car saw the sign for Rachel’s Monday night steak special for $16.99. As it turned out, we arrived at The Barn on a Monday evening at 5:30pm, with their big sign outside saying, “Happy Hour Monday – Friday 4pm to 6pm” but their doors were closed and locked. This turned out to be lucky for us because we went back to Rachel’s to check it out. Our whole party of 5 were really pleasantly surprised to walk into this eatery and sit right down. The menu looked very appetizing and we all ordered different items and thoroughly enjoyed our food. We believe the owner waited on us, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. I ordered the chicken pot pie and I loved the puff pastry on top, and the chicken pot pie was savory, flavorful, and delicious! My husband enjoyed the steak special too. It was such a good dinner that we came back again a couple days later and enjoyed another meal. I’m now wishing that Rachel would move to our neighborhood and open up an eatery here too! Thank you! We’re still talking about it and would love to go back again.

Got a gift card from a friend to try this place a second time. The food was much better this time around. Onion rings stack was a delicious appetizer. We also had the beef bolognese lasagna and the braised short rib gnocchi. The garlic butter sauce on the gnocchi was rich and creamy and plentiful. Only thing that desired more attention was the service. There were 3 tables of people including us and we had to ask 3 times for drink refills. People were pleasant but not very attentive.

A much needed addition to Ramona! This place is amazing! Exactly the type of place this small town needed! It’s clean and modern with a small town feel. I have owned a small business in Ramona for 17 years and the dine in options are slim. I get the burgers there for lunch and they do not disappoint you could tell the parties are made in house and the brioche buns taste like they were just baked! But my absolute fav is the pork chop with mashed potato’s, the glaze is amazing and the chop is cooked just right. The service is amazing and everyone is very friendly. I got the pleasure of having Rachel actually serve us one day and you would not have known she was the owner what a friendly, kind and genuine person. We also had our employee Christmas party here they had three people serving us the whole time and everything was cooked to perfection especially their delicious wings. I go there at least once a week and I can never wait to go back.

I was looking for a place to eat in downtown Ramona and I found this amazing place. It has a warm home-like feel and does an amazing job of looking upscale but also having great pricing. The menu had the most amazing options! The staff were all super nice and attentive. I ordered a bourbon burger and it was huge with the most amazing sauce. It’s rare that I’m blown away by a place but this is definitely one of those times. 11 out of 10!

First time here tonight and it was AWESOME. DELICIOUS food and wonderful service. I guess there was a Stevie Nicks cover band or something next-door tonight so when we first arrived, the kitchen was backed up, but they only wanted us to wait 10 minutes. No big deal at all so we went next-door to the turkey and had some liquid appetizers and then we came back. We had clam chowder and a bread bowl and the steak dinner and buffalo wings to start and pumpkin cheesecake to finish and we are happy chubby little clams. Also, the bathroom is delightful 10 out of 10.

The Oreo Cheesecake was fantastic! The tropical sunset was a delicious fruity drink. Service was good and friendly. The main courses however were mediocre at best. My honey bourbon fried chicken Mac and cheese was soupy, the chicken was too thinly sliced and overcooked. The pulled pork nachos tasted like Taco Bell quality to be honest. I love supporting local but for the quality of those entrees, I’d rather stay home.

Went here a few times & actually enjoyed a few of their dishes. Yes they are overpriced but food was pretty decent. For whatever reason they changed the menu & took off every single one of my favorite dishes. I’m not really interested in coming back now. It was a nice option at one point.

It Is a bit pricey but the food was delicious. We got the sweet potato appetizer which was nice mu baby ate all her pizza, and my husband said the Maple bourbon pork chop was good and I recommend trying the Shortrib Gnocci it was delicious.
