Great old fashion diner. Fantastic atmosphere inside. Huge desserts baked onsite. Fantastic friendly service. Very quick old style service from the kitchen all the orders came out quickly and hot. Only wish they were 24 hours like before the pandemic. Will definitely return for breakfast at 11 pm and dinner in the morning.

The raceway diner is a comfortable decent place to stop & eat. I usually get French fries with my order. I won’t get their grilled cheese because it’s too much cheese. My husband enjoys it though. OJ is usually great. Servers are always nice except this one older waitress. No matter how many times she sees us, if she’s not waiting on us she never says hello. I don’t get it but when you see people like that you know it’s them. We used to eat here more often than we do now so that’s what I’m saying. I thought maybe that’s the way she is but I’ve seen her greet others that she wasn’t waiting on once or twice so that’s when I realized it’s her. Mostly everyone is nice there though besides her.

We were a large party (14ppl) that came in late evening. We were seated promptly. Our server was very accommodating and attentive. Our food came out correctly and served hot! The chicken and waffles were pretty good. Grilled chicken Triple decker wss tasty. Everyone enjoyed!

I wait for 6 minutes at the table finally la waitress came to ask me for drinks I told her I was ready to order she kind of said that there was a big table in the restaurant probably meaning it will take time to take my order a few minutes after a waiter took my order.

I ordered waffle with fried chicken. The waffle was dry and the chicken seemed not to be freshly fried but had been recooked. The chicken meat stuck inside the skin and dry. The
skin was dark not golden brown. Very disappointed.

The service is always good and the food is always great.
They have the monster diner desserts also.
This was one of the last diners that was open 24 hours a day but no longer.
The atmosphere is nice but as with many diners there can be some odd ducks in there.

My daughter and I stopped in for dinner on our way home from, Valhalla. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. Plus, they have table side juke boxes that actually WORK!
I am truly writing this review to give a great big THANK YOU to Bill. I lost my Jesus pendant in the restaurant and he took the time to not only search for it, but he mailed it to me as well!!
I received it in the mail today and I was so very happy and blessed to have it returned. Bill, you are an honest man, and I am beyond grateful for both your time and consideration. Thank you again!!

It was a long time since I was last here. For that period of time, I held onto a grudge for this place (based off my past experiences, it was a rightful grudge). I vowed to never return. It’s been well over a decade since I was here last.
More recently, I decided to try this diner again – and much to my surprise, things have been much, much better.
Unsure if ownership/management changed or not, but I don’t see the same people I used to see long ago – which is a good thing judging from the past and how they treated some.
Full disclosure – I’ve been ordering take out and haven’t dined in again as of yet, so this is not for that experience as of now.
I have been ordering take out and everything has been as good as you can expect. The orders have been correct and the food has been good. They’re fairly generous with the condiments and such. There is never much of a wait.
Whether calling in or when I’m inside to pickup, everyone has been friendly, welcoming, and courteous – which always goes a long way.
The outside neon sign is iconic.
The parking lot can be busy depending on the time of day and there is plenty of parking. Turning left out of the parking lot can be a hassle at times, so use caution. There is metered street parking as well, though after 8pm and on Sundays you don’t have to pay.
I’m glad I gave this diner another chance after so long. It’s become reliable for me. I’ll be back of course and glad to have come back.

Took my family here for brunch. Really nice and clean. The food was fresh and delicious. The waffles was light and fluffy. The sausage was well cook and the eggs were yummy. Great environment for all ages. My kids love the kids menu. The service was excellent!!!
