Visiting from Texas and this food was so delicious. The rice and beans were cooked correctly. My chicken was flavorful. The cucumber yogurt side was a great addition. The only critique I gave was that the plantains were hard. Other than, almost perfection.
My husband had the pork sandwich without the arugula and he thought it was pretty good. And he’s very picky so that’s good. I ate my food too fast to get a picture.

We had high hopes because of all the reviews we’ve read. Unfortunately, we left deeply disappointed. The chicken was so dried out and flavorless and the rice had been sitting so long that some rice grains were crunchy. The sauces are the only reason the food was somewhat edible. We visited with four people in our party and no one was able to eat more than 1/3 of what we were served. To make matters worse, my daughter had food poisoning. I would not recommend eating here.

This place has my whole heart. They are always so nice and the food just feels like home. You will not be disappointed! The soup in the winter and the the chicken sandwich during the rest of the year are my go to! So flavorful and delicious.

I used to LOVE Rub. I mean, I really really loved it. I’m glad I waited to post a review though– because Rub needs to know this. What you guys did to your shredded beef is heartbreaking.
It used to be that their shredded beef was rich, teeming with flavor, and utterly delicious. But now, instead of just beef, they overcook a ton vegetables and mix it in– creating a watery, bland end result which is 70% vegetables/water and can only be compared to canned beef and vegetable soup. What used to be nominally overpriced but incredibly tasty, is now egregiously overpriced and mediocre at best.
I used to come to this restaurant 2 or 3 times a month. Now I don’t know if I will ever come back. It’s an extremely disappointing turn of events.

Came here for lunch because all the photos online made it look fresh and bright with perfect portions. I was so pleasantly surprised with how tasty this was! The employees were amazing!!!! They explained all the dishes and gave me free samples. This restaurant is cozy clean and me and my coworker enjoyed our lunch with good music playing. Such a unique place!

Very tasty, original flavors and seasoning. Hot sauces are a european/latin flare. A little on the high side of price but it is quality flavor and service. Staff was friendly and attentive. Has only been open for 3 weeks. I will be back.

Holy deliciousness. Have you tried this place? IT IS SO GOOD! I stopped in because I was near aksarben, and I’ve wanted to try them out for awhile! I got the meal for two, which includes a protien of your choice, two sides and two sauces. I ordered two additional sides and two additional sauces because I wanted to try it all. pictured is the rotisserie chicken, black beans, quinoa and artichoke salad, roasted potatoes, and cucumber salad. The quinoa salad surprised me and that is definitely my favorite. Everything has great flavor! Sauces I tried are garlic, chimichurri, medium and hot habanero. I really like them all and I love spice, but if I had to pick only two I would go with medium and chimichurri.
I’m going to keep this short and sweet and say GO! I don’t think you can go wrong! Everything is so good and my pregnant belly is beyond happy.. excited to go back and try the porchetta (roasted pork) and everything else on the menu!

I needed a place for a meeting and some friends mentioned trying RUB. Aksarben was a little out of the way but heard it was a great restaurant and oh did they deliver!
A much healthier choice, real food, made and served with love. You can just tell they care. My zoom meeting went great and the food was so flavorful. It hit the spot! (Who knew plantains were soooooo good?!)
Carlos, one of the owners was there and we got to chat about some of the history related to the love he pours into his restaurants. Time is valuable and he made it well worth the time to chat and I am very grateful for it.
We will be catering with them for events for sure!

Food was very good. Adults and kids all loved it. Unique sauce and side dish options. Kids can eat more plain/mild food if they are picky or you can add the sauces for extra flavor. Super friendly staff. Loved the large windows and greenery indoors.
