Was hungry and excited to eat my favorite breakfast…
My scrambled eggs I ordered (that I was charged .60 for) but instead I was given what’s supposed to be a fried egg I guess… it was just a glob of egg so I’m guessing liquid eggs even though I recall getting fresh eggs. Not edible at all.
The potatoes—— they tasted, felt, and looked old… they were burnt and charred and it was mainly skins the onions were burnt too.
No complaints about the chicken, but it wasn’t great and it wasn’t bad especially compared to everything else.
I didn’t even eat the French toast as my appetite was ruined. I’ve ordered the same thing for years even prior to Covid. I also ordered it on Uber eats and had it delivered and never got this quality of food.
Don’t think I’m be back to spend $20 on breakfast again… I really come for the nostalgia and of course the birds.
I thought this place looked perfect for a great breakfast and coffee spot while I was waiting on my mother’s surgery at Piedmont.
Super fun little spot nestled away with an inviting and chill atmosphere. Perfect for my coffee and book
Service was welcoming and attentive, and food was the best part of all! I enjoyed it more than the other places around.
I had the vegan meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy and the garlicky greens, plus a teriyaki bowl. First of all let me just say everything tasted delicious, fresh and full of flavor. The meatloaf was hearty without being heavy, (mind you, I didn’t eat breakfast) the mashed potatoes were the right consistency and fluffy, and the greens had that perfect savory, crunch kick. The teriyaki bowl was a great balance and the sauce was everything!! It was loaded with veggies, and super satisfying.
The funky, tropical vibe of the restaurant reminds me of Miami, in Atlanta. The cockatoos outside are the cutest surprise! I forgot they were there!! They’re super friendly, and yes, you can pet them. I’m definitely coming back!
Overall, high marks!
Update: we came back again; my husband ordered the same thing as last time (Portobello Linguine) – he couldn’t get enough! I ordered the Thai Express Bowl this time, and it was so delicious with fresh crisp veggies. We both also ordered the Frosted Champ smoothies again – it ended up being too sweet for me, but they kindly remade it for me, twice! They really went out of their way to make it fit my taste, I felt a bit bad that they had to remake it twice but was very grateful. What an amazing service!
The server was super helpful and gave us some great tips including the fact that the restaurant will be closing for 2 months after tonight for renovations. I love the quirky atmosphere and the birds that say hello.
