What a great place to eat. They played classic Jazz music, and the food was delicious. I tried the Valentines day special Red Velvet Waffles.
Best waffles I ever tasted
When I come back, I need to try the catfish looks so good. 5 stars.
They are super popular so expect a small wait, but its worth it.

AFTER YEARS of hearing about this incredible establishment with great food, I was finally able to try them for myself! Today is MLK Day, so it was only right to get some food that touches the soul.

When we walked in, we were greeted rightaway and seated. Our server made sure we got our drinks in a timely manner as well. I got a Strawberry Watermelon Lemonade, which was a 5/5 and Jess got orange juice and a water.

For our food, Jess got the Chicken & Waffles Sliders with a side of Grits. I got the Shrimp & Grits with a Wing on the side. Let me tell you, the Shrimp & Grits was loaded with flavor from the first bite! Made with a spicy reaux, with beef Sausage, peppers, and onions, favorable Shrimp and topped with Green Onions, I highly recommend this dish!
Jess’ Chicken and Waffles were on point as well, with a nice fluffy waffle packed with well seasoned Chicken Breasts with a hot honey type of syrup dipping sause. The portions are generous.

All in all the experience was great, servive food and atmosphere!

Been trying to get here for a cool minute. Finally made it with the hubby. Service was fast (everything is made to order, so wait times are more than a fast food joint), friendly and helpful. The decor is fresh and simple. Great tunes in the background – just loud enough to boogie to but not too loud you can’t have a conversation. The hubby had the Davante: 2 pork chops (on point), greens (well seasoned, perfectly cooked) and mac & cheese (was to his liking; he’s particular about these things). I had the Eric: 3 whole wings (crispy, perfectly seasoned, hot and juicy) and French toast (not my usual pick, but oh so tasty too). Don’t miss the lemonade which comes in large mason jars. You can select up to two flavors to add. Hubby had peach strawberry and I had watermelon cucumber. Lemony yet sweet…be sure to bring your blood glucose meter. LOL

It was okay, I’ve been saying that mo val needs a place like this but I feel like there’s a few kinks that need to be worked out. The side of Mac n cheese is way too small, it was good but should be bigger for the price ($7.36) The avocado toast was pretty basic on dry sourdough with no butter or seasoning for $9.50 The drink prices were a little insane $8 for a lemonade pretty cool that you can pick the flavors but overall not that good for the price. A small little orange juice for over $5. They should be more specific on the ingredients included in the food. Ex: I ordered the breakfast burrito to share with my daughter. Nowhere on the ingredients did it say it had peppers & onions which I’m fine with but a child is not. They charged over $8 to add 3 little shrimp with the tails mixed into the grits bowl. They only offer whole chicken wings or tenders, should have more of a variety of the pieces of chicken you can get. Workers were friendly although it did take awhile to initially get just our drinks ordered and by that time we were already ready to order our food. I guess overall it’s just a little too pricey for certain things and the location.

New place in Moreno Valley off of Sunnymead Blvd. You will have several choices along Sunnymead for Breakfast- Brandon’s, Denny’s, Black Bear and now R&R. Hands down R&R is your best choice. They are offering catfish, grits, collard greens, shrimp po’boys and chicken and waffles. We got the Alfredo Shrimp and grits and Fried Pork Chops. This is not fast, cheap food, our food was made to order and came out quickly, everything was full of flavor and felt comforting. The staff was friendly, our server Samuel checked on us and made sure we had refills on our sinks and made great recommendations. Definitely coming back and would highly recommend.

Gotta say and im very picky with my food I got the 3 piece wings mac & greens OMG. That flavor of those wings next time tiping cook. I loved this food. U NEED TO BE VERY PATIENT. u will wait for ur food but worth the wait. I used to head to L.A for soul food my new spot here next to me. @R&R I.E waiters and welcome host fabulous excellent. I give out a lot of reviews and mostly bad but this place was great.

I took my Granddaughters and son here, after reading really good reviews. And I will gladly add to the positive reviews.
I had eggs, potatoes and catfish!!!!!
Sooooo good!!!! The eggs were perfect, the potatoes were delicious and that catfish!!!!! Absolute perfection!!!
And the strawberry shortcakes!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! The cook puts ALOT of love in her food!!
And all 3 of my Granddaughters were given Christmas gifts!!!! VERY THOUGHTFUL! Excellent choice!!!

The catfish was delicious, perfectly cooked crunchy on the outside and still juicy inside. Other breakfast items such as waffles and French toast seemed subpar, good but nothing special. The service however was slow, friendly but we did have to check in on our drinks (water and coffee), ask for utensils, and ask for syrup. Would definitely stop by for the catfish again, but likely take it to-go.

I went to R and R for breakfast with my sister to dine in plus order a side of sausage links, catfish and chicken n’ waffles to go. The overall dine in experience was cool with the exception of the air conditioner blowing over our food made the food cold but other than that the food was good and service was pleasant. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for my to go order. It took them 50 minutes from when I paid until they finally brought my to go food out. I was even gracious enough to move from our table to the bar area to wait so other guests could be seated. I was so pissed off at how slow the kitchen staff took to cook my food and to add insult to injury they just wrapped my sausage links in a foil like some pieces of scraps. I spent a little over $130 there with tip and felt more disrespected by the fact that no one offered to throw something small in for the inconvenience or at least offer to refill my lemonade as I waited. This was very poor customer service and horrible time management with the kitchen staff. They won’t be seeing me again.

Food was made to order so it took a little time but it was well worth the wait. Delicious flavor I have the turkey chops with grits and over easy eggs grits seasoned perfectly I did not have to add any salt somebody flavored their water okay. My friend had the pork chops with grits and breakfast potatoes and French toast. Also the Cucumber watermelon lemonade was amazing. The whole service team and staff was amazing shout out to Jalen our table busser great personality music atmosphere. My only negative is my waffle wasn’t thick it was very thin I like a fluffy waffle other than this place is A+ for me
