My husband and I went here for the first time tonight! We loved the idea of cooking our own steak. The Ribeye was fantastic and the shrimp were pretty good as well. We shared everything and got our own soups. The Mac n cheese was pretty mediocre. It didn’t have a lot of flavor – it wasn’t anything special. I was a bit disappointed about that but oh well. I had the French onion soup and it was very good! I tend to be a little snobby about my French onion soup, so I was satisfied. I ordered an extra dirty martini and the bartender came through!! Our server was great and attentive. The biggest drawback is how smoky the restaurant is. I understand why that is, but I wish they had better ventilation to combat the smoke. I had just washed my hair and unfortunately, now my clothing and hair smells extremely smoky.

I love coming to R Place! I stopped in for lunch and got the Green Quinoa Bowl and it was so good! The owner also gave me a complimentary dessert! Saxon is the best bar tender and is always so fun! 10/10 recommend this restaurant!

This was a great spot to grab lunch. I got the stir fry, which was a healthy portion. Alisha was a great server as well.

I was so excited to visit R Place and they did not disappoint! I ordered the Smash Burger and Mac and Cheese and it was hands down the best burger I’ve ever had! They also just got their liquor license, so I ordered an old fashioned. The service was exceptional and everyone was so professional and kind! The aesthetic felt very high end and the heat felt very comfortable. I hate going into restaurants and freezing to death, but it was the perfect temperature! And even though the restaurant was packed, I could still have conversations and hear them! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Congratulations on a successful first week being open!

Amazing atmosphere and attention of staff! The FOOD literally melts in your mouth with every single bite! You can find a great place in a small town where tradition is still alive and thriving! Can’t wait to dine again!

Loved this place. Live and wonderful music tonight. Actually tipped the most I ever have to a musician. The Texas ribeyes were stellar. The hot stone cook it to my own satisfaction was a neat experience. So tender and flavorful. Absolutely worth the moderate prices.
Sides were great. Brussels sprouts were a minor up charge but there were enough to share. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and not an up charge.
Wonderful drinks. Good pricing on them as well.
Service was excellent. From the hostess to the waiter, we were smiled at, listened to and cared for like we were VIPs.
I’m absolutely a fan of this wonderful treasure of a restaurant and I will be back.

A wonderful place with some great food options. Delicious! Great atmosphere.
Typical Meals range from $15 – 26, a few range higher.
Family and I will be back.
I rated service a 4 because my salad came after my entree.

Until the end, the service was really good. Brooke was my server, very attentive. Always a smile on her face. The other personnel were also cheerful. I was planning on having dessert, but Brooke brought me the bill without asking and then disappeared for quite some time. I finally had to get another waiter to request my dessert. It was ten or fifteen minutes later.
The presentation was really good. The burrata was exceptional. The walleye, which is what I mainly came there for was the least impressive. Way too much almond crust on it, to the point where there was more crust than there was fish. Two small pieces of fish, crust dark. The walleye was very dry. Overcooked? Asparagus was good. The skin on the baked potato was really tough. The lava cake and ice cream we’re good.
Since the walleye was one of their highest priced dishes, I was expecting much better preparation.
Perhaps I got them on a bad day? Either way, it was my first time there and you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.
Good luck!

First of all, if you order a steak (which we did) they only brown each side. They don’t cook it to your liking. They bring it out on a 700 degree stone and you cook it the way you want. And it was fantastic. We ordered appetizer and drinks but didn’t really need the appetizer with the steak. We had a great waitress also.

Our experience started off badly when two equally sized parties were seated ahead of us. The owner must have known them because he just walked up and seated them. The food took a hour for burgers and was served slightly warm. My wife’s brussel sprouts were burnt and should have been thrown out. They were also lacking the wipped goat cheese. We won’t return.
