I loved this place!! The food was amazing, I trying better but I liked so much anyways. We were taken care of super well, very nice . Good music and very sporty decorated venue, I imagine that in Chiefs play should be a great place to enjoy the game. Definitely I’ll be back.

First time trying this restaurant. Very friendly and fun atmosphere. Nachos with the jalapeño sausage definitely recommend even if you don’t do spicy, such great flavor. Could be a meal themselves. Didn’t get a pic of them.
Ribs were great. Beans were good. Cheesy Corn Bake was a bit misleading, thought it would be more solid type baked item but tasted good. Wasn’t a fan of the brisket. Pumpkin cheesecake was good. Overall good experience and will go back.

Our favorite bar b q place by far ! It’s so homey and the staff is always so friendly and takes great care of you. The ribs are out of this world good, best I’ve ever had and the jalapeño sausage is incredible!!! We love this place.

Based on prior reviews and DD&D we decided to give it a try. For family restaurant, not a chain, have to say we we’re a bit disappointed. The Jalapeno Brat everyone raved about was fair. The burnt ends were that and too much more, dry, stringy, even sauce didn’t help. Serious help needed for the baked beans of course we compared them to Jack Stack which is off the chart amazing. Coleslaw was ok. The Reuben sandwich was very tasty as was the fries cooked perfectly so maybe this is more of a sandwich place. Service was great, atmosphere as we expected, no complaints there. We might try it again perhaps for the ribs or a different sandwich.

Sunday 1/11 First time stopping by to pick up, likely my last after this. It turned out to be maybe the most disappointing dinner I have ever picked-up. Just a 1/2lb burnt ends but turned out to be… this.
I do not understand why anyone would allow this to be served to someone.
Sent an email as a follow up. Hard to drive back to kindly ask for a refund after opening this up.

We had a great experience at the Shack. We came late on a Sunday during the end of our vacation and there were very few people because it was only an hour to close. We ordered the three rib + meat (chopped brisket), half pulled pulled pork and half chopped brisket, and the half rack of ribs. The sides we went with were cole slaw, baked beans, and fried okra. The cole slaw is a mayo-based slaw and the okra was delicious. The beans were a little underwhelming.
Our server was kind and attentive and endured the questions with grace from these out-of-towners. We would go back for sure!

A very respectable local BBQ place to enjoy a great BBQ meal with friends. Depending upon the day/time, you will find it a great gathering place to eat and visit Other mornings & evenings with live bands, it’s busy, busy (but still good food)!

RJ’s was good not great. Atmosphere and service were great. The problem is that the bbq is just ok in a land populated with great bbq. The ribs were undercooked and chewy. The wings were wet and not very smoky. The jalapeño sausage was the best offering, that came cooked in a corn husk like a tamale. The sauces and sides were outstanding. Great coleslaw!

Our waitress and food were phenomenal. We ordered the bison empanadas, jalapeño sausage, half order of pork ribs, cheesy corn, and French fries.
The fries were fried perfectly – soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, the ribs were Smokey and full of meat and flavor – the jalapeño sausage is a MUST try!
Would definitely eat here again!

It’s a good place for bbq. Maybe not the best on KC but more than adequate. Need to update online menu prices. Menu has smoked turkey breast at 18 dollars a pound yesterday it was 20 dollars a pound. I got a pound and a half of turkey breast and a pound of brisket and a quart of Mac and cheese and it was 71 dollars. A bit pricey imo. Nevermind I forgot I added a tip. Not sure if tips should be given if it’s carry out but I am good like that.
