Valentine’s Day experience was lovely.
But I had to send my steak back as I asked for medium-rare and it came black and blue. After it being returned (they must’ve just shoved it under the broiler and hoped for the best while leaving the potatoes to sit under the heat lamp, as I come from working in restaurants myself so it was pretty obvious). My steak came back pre-cut from my first initial check and my potatoes had become ice cold at this point.
I did not have the courage to send it back a second time as I was trying to enjoy my dinner with my partner on a special night.
It also definitely seemed like tables were added/squished in so that they could add to the amount of reservations they took on for the Hallmark holiday, but left the experience feeling much less intimate and more uncomfortable to be practically sitting on the laps of the people at the table next to us.
All in all, the experience was nice – they offered each woman a single rose upon arrival. Had a beautiful display of roses in the shape of a heart. Service was good, our server was kind and attentive.
Unfortunately that does not take away from the meatball appetizer coming out luke warm and my filet mignon being severely undercooked from what I had requested (not once, but twice).
I’d say it’s just not really worth the value at the end of the day as we spent $300+

This is one of the best experiences I have had in a restaurant in a long time. Reggie and his staff were great. So professional and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. Everyone took such good care of us and made us feel at home. R house delivers the kind of dining experience you hope for in a true steakhouse night out. All of the food was outstanding. I really appreciate how the owner came and checked on us twice to make sure we were having a great experience. I have been in the restaurant business for 20+ years and this was one of the top experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you Reggie! We will definitely be back soon!

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to. The lighting is beautiful and it’s so clean. We sat at the bar toward the end of happy hour where we had the sliders and Caesar salad – DELICIOUS! Then, my boyfriend and I split the porterhouse for 2. It came out on a huge sizzling plate and we ordered the truffle fries and sautéed spinach. Oh my god. Words cannot describe the quality of the steak. It was DECADENT. We didn’t have room for dessert but the two girls bartending were unbelievable – so kind and professional. Definitely worth the trip we will be back!!!!!!

Went for the Valentine’s day prix fixe, had the ribeye which was good but served on a scorching hot plate which was a first for me and weird. The potatoes were underwhelming, like diner home fries and the plating was meh. Appetizer and dessert were delish. I will give them another try.

Such a great experience here! My husband and I went here for our anniversary, and it honestly felt like we were on vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood platter (amazing lobster and huge shrimp!), our entrees, and a couple of desserts.
The service was incredible, and the owners were on point, making sure we were well taken care of. We loved the whole ambience and vibe of the place. Highly recommend for a date night, celebration, special occasion, or just because.
Oh, and valet parking is a nice touch, also! Bar looks awesome too.

This restaurant is truly something special. The food is outstanding, but what makes it even more meaningful is the warmth behind it — the service and the care from the new ownership really shine through. My husband and I just left after sitting at the beautiful bar and enjoying an incredible dinner, and we felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. Simply put, this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in Ridgefield, period. I live in Greenwich, CT and even here it’s hard to find a restaurant like The Benjamin in Ridgefield, CT.
From the moment I stepped inside, I knew this place was something special. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and warmth; soft lighting, tasteful décor, and an inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. Every detail was spotless, from the polished tables to the gleaming cutlery, showing the restaurant’s commitment to excellence and cleanliness.
