I always heard positive reviews & posts about this place so thought I’d finally check it out. Arrived & the place was busy, but was seated within 2 minutes. I ordered the Fretta & when it came out, I don’t think the cook knew what was in a Fretta. The peppers & broccoli were hard like they were still raw & some of the main ingredients were missing. They never put in the fried potatoes, there was no sausage in it & there was 6 slices of pepperoni which were all clumped together(as you can see in the photo). I showed this to the waitress who was extremely friendly & helpful in the situation. She took the dish back to the head cook who said whoever made this didn’t make it right. They graciously offered to make me another one to take home which was a nice gesture, but wouldn’t have tasted the same not being right off the grill. They did remove the charge from the bill which was appreciated! I did see some dishes of what others ordered & they looked delicious & their pancakes were huge & that’s an understatement!

I went alone and sat at the counter to enjoy a Sunday breakfast. They were very busy. I was impressed and was very glad I was able to enjoy my time. Lots of regular customers. Several times, people were stopping to chat with others they knew. Families and cute elderly people were showing up after church. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. The eggs were cooked the way I asked, bacon was crispy, but not overdone, and the homefries and toast were cooked appropriately. I loved the atmosphere and am looking forward to going again. Watching all the food go by definitely made me want more.

The food was absolutely great; based on food alone I would give it 5 stars. For 2 adults and a 5 year old it was $50 before tax. Our sons side of broccoli was $3, so all the little up-charges added up. Great service though and awesome food.

The vibe is very generic diner, but the staff was incredibly sunny. Little chilly, smallish amount of tables, very clean bathroom. We ordered a classic burger and a beyond burger as well as mac salad and fries. While the burgers came very plain (just cheese with pickles on the side) all the food was excellent. Great prices. Ketchup came in a bottle but all other condiments came in impossible to open individual packets. Nothing a pair of clippers from a purse couldn’t open. Overall would visit again.

Crazy busy Friday night at R Diner! Our wait was reasonable considering we were a party of 9. We were lucky enough to get the last of the fish dinners and sandwiches; which is what we went there for. Everyone was amazing and friendly; however, our waitress, Amanda, went above and beyond in every aspect. Amanda, you rock.

We made the trip from Syracuse after reading on Syracuse.com that the pancakes at R Diner were truly one of a kind – and they lived up to the hype! The food was incredibly delicious, the service was top notch and the pancakes were the star of the show. Totally worth the drive!
