Rick Temarantz, and his daughters Lauren Maga and Lindsey Temarantz opened R Bar and Grill on February 3, 2011. Located on W Union Street in Nanticoke,. The bar started with 8 tables and a small bar, a very small menu, and only 5 wing sauces. Needless to say, things have gotten bigger and better and we outgrew our location! 3 years later on November 7, 2014.. R Bar moved to the old Alden Manor Complex on Kirmar Ave (close by) Boasting 29 tables, lots of bar seating, huge parking lot, and a 110 person capacity banquet hall on the 2nd floor. We now have over 85 wing sauces and dry rubs. Family friendly! Live music on Fridays and brunch on Sundays!

Simply the best wings in NEPA. The food and drinks are amazing and the staff always deliver the highest quality of service. If you have Maura, Tiffany, Emily Ann, or Lisa as your server you’re definitely in good hands! I also love to see how the decorations change as the holidays come and go. Can’t recommend R Bar enough! You need to visit!

Service was okay for a Friday night, but they brought me the wrong order two times, and then when the food came out, it was cold and bland: the fries were cold and still frozen, the burger was burnt and tasteless, and the hot wing hoagie was cold but fine. The liquor flight was also fine, but nothing memorable, especially for $12. For the price we paid, I wouldn’t recommend it if you weren’t at least a couple drinks in.

On Saturday, 11/29, we held my mom’s celebration of life in the Alden Room, and I felt I needed to leave a review because they truly deserve five stars across the board. Lauren was incredible. Even though I didn’t get to meet her in person, she was so kind, helpful, and genuine, and she made something very difficult feel far more manageable.
On the day of the event, Jaime handled the food and service, and everything went perfectly. The food was outstanding, and the entire staff was wonderful to work with.
To the owners and everyone at the R Bar—thank you. You took a very hard day and made it feel calm and effortless. My family and I appreciate you more than we can say.

The place has a fun atmosphere in a funky old building, craft beers and the most extensive wing sauce selection in the area. If you like to try new wings, this is your place. There’s several screens for sports viewing.

We love coming to R Bar for wing night! Always met with great customer service whether we sit at a table or at the bar. The food is top notch every single time, not just the wings! Crab cakes are not something I normally order but the homemade ones at R Bar are sooo good I get them almost every time we come in. Great rotating beer selection, including the local crafts. And the owners and employees are fantastic! You can tell the employees like working there by their kindness and positive attitudes. All in all a great experience!

If you go on wing night expecting to be seated, think twice because apparently this place takes reservations. Promo night is always first come first serve. Tables available and all but we were definitely discriminated against for having small children because once they followed behind us it was an immediate no. Families are apparently unwelcome

Awesome food. HUGE menu! So many wing sauce choices! I love that you can do a wing flight and try different sauces and rubs. They also always make different food and drinks to try out as weekly/monthly features, keeping things different and fun. Run by an awesome sister duo. The atmosphere makes you feel like youre part of the family or even history of the building. Really cool place with great food and service.

On the outside, R Bar looks to be nothing out-of-the-ordinary, spare a few vintage autos out front. Inside it is a cool sports and automotive themed spot with plenty of tvs and seating. Until now, I only had takeout. But it was so good I knew it had to be even better fresh, and I was right. Everything was delicious! There are so many wing sauces to choose from and my guest and I struggled to pick. We ordered one wet sauce and one dry rub – the wings were enormous and both were generously seasoned. My burger was messy as the menu said, but very good. It this place wasn’t 40+ minutes from my house I’d be here very often…but I’ll definitely be back.
