I was recommended this place to try for a good banh mi. Decided to go and honestly, best place to get a great meal in Dallas! There were three of us…we each got a sandwich with the buy 2 and get 1 free, ordered a water bottle and Vietnamese coffee, all under $25! Dont miss out on this spot. Fresh bread and ingredients. Delicious banh mi!

As a side note, this is a grab and go place. There is not dine-in option here. Not a deal-breaker, but would have been nice to know for planning purposes

These are the BEST bahn mis in the city!! I would suggest placing an order ahead since it’s packed and there is a wait time. I ordered ten ($40) and waited 35 min. They have a buy 2 get one free special. They’re also packed with flavor! 10/10 would come again

Oh man, this place is straight up dog doodoo now. I don’t mind the price increase and the smaller size, but they changed the receipe for their bread too. It’s no longer crunchy and flaky on the outside and warm and airy on the inside. It’s now hard and cold on the outside and even harder and colder on the inside. They probably gave me their refrigerated left overs from the night before. The bread makes 80% of the banh mi, why would you make yours worst than a white people pho restaurant in highland park? Go to Saigon Deli across the parking lot for better banh mi. I won’t be driving out of my way for quoc bao anymore. Two stars bc the service was still pretty good. Ym

I am vegan, they don’t have any tofu bahn mi BUT I buy their fresh baked rolls and make lemon grass tofu at home and they are PERFECT. Please support this small little business the staff are so kind and they do have a vegan dessert made with chestnut jelly and sweet mung beans. And grab your non-vegan friends some $5 bahn mi bc they look fire

Hidden Gem for Banh Mi Lovers in Garland, TX

I recently visited Quoc Bao Bakery at 3419 W Walnut St #104 in Garland, and I’m convinced it’s the best banh mi spot in Dallas.

Don’t let the modest storefront fool you. Inside, you’ll find 14 banh mi combinations that deliver bold, authentic Vietnamese flavors. The moment you bite into their crispy baguette, you’ll understand why locals quietly rave about this place. The bread is golden and crackly on the outside, soft and warm inside. Add in the savory meats, tangy pickled carrots, and house-made pâté, and you’ve got a sandwich that’s both comforting and crave worthy.

Service is quick, prices are fair, and the flavors speak for themselves. Whether you’re a banh mi veteran or trying it for the first time, Quoc Bao Bakery is worth the detour.

Its not about the atmosphere as this is not a dine in place. You come here to grab some super delicious banh mi sandwiches.
All ingredients were fresh and you cannot beat their buy 2, get 1 free price.
Adding to my list of faves!

They do one thing and do it pretty well. I got the #10 roasted pork sub and it was delicious! The meat was very tender and the sauce reminded me of the Japanese mayo in terms of consistency and taste. Cilantro and cucumber and all the veggies felt very fresh too. Essentially they only sell banh mis, thai tea, and a couple of smaller sides here so keep that in mind if you come here. There are no tables inside either so you’ll need to eat
It in your car or at home. Good experience and hits the spot if you want banh mis!

Been coming here for like over 15+ years. It’s still my favorite banh mi spot in town. The specials still the same and flavors are still the same. Now it’s $5 a sandwhich. Buy 2 get 1 free.
I finally tried something different than the #1, I got the #5 and may start getting that as well. Lots of options. There is a credit card fee FYI. We get veggie on the side and re heat in air fryer for later if we have left overs.

One of the best Banh mi sandwiches I’ve ever had. Freshly baked bread, good meat fillings and veggies, prompt service. No complaints at all from what we got.
