This place rocks.
Atmosphere is fantastic (mostly thanks to the italo-disco dj) and the drinks menu is extensive. Food is really good, especially the Japanese pickles, but our donburi bowl was overloaded with green onions. Vibes were great – friendly service, lively crowd. An excellent place to spend a Friday night in Beacon!

This is an old style restaurant. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We had Japanese food and enjoyed it. Being in the restaurant is like stepping back in time.

Something is seriously lacking in terms of service now. Usually you guys are attentive and fast, not sure what’s going on. Got there at 6:00PM, gently reminded the waiter to give us menus, by 6:30 PM no one came to our table to even give us water or cups.
I would be forgiving but the water who vapes while working said “I was complaining how we’re overstaffed and slow but you guys didn’t even get menus yet!”. I should’ve taken that as a red flag.
Then we waited and waited. Waiter is vaping. The other one is taking the bulk of the orders. Then the waiter who has worked there for a while just walked in and tried to pick off where everyone left off. You guys need to figure this out.
Last time I was here one of the waiters completely forgot my food order and drink but he took accountability that time and I understood, it’s tough sometimes.
But this time, I mean, I work in food service too and I tried to be patient but this pushed my limit.
I returned the menus and leftover water on the table from the previous table and left, and told them they never took our order and to have a good night.
Better communication needs to be done between staff, patrons, bar, and kitchen. I was not the only upset customer tonight either. Shout out to the curly haired bartender with tattoos, she is always sweet. Sadly tonight you lost a customer since 2019.

Absolute best ramen found outside of NYC. The pork chashu ramen is expertly composed, but the broth is the star. There is a depth and savoriness to this ramen which only comes form long cooked bones and stock in a multi-day process. So completely satisfying!

A good little Japanese spot. The food is decent, not amazing but solid. The value felt a little low, with dishes like the donburi having just a few pieces of chicken and some uncooked broccoli. That said, they have a happy hour from 5-7 that’s worth stopping in for and you get $1 off a few dishes.

This place is a vibe and I can see the attraction. Dim & cozy, with a nice bar, a spot for a band to play and a good selection of beers on tap and in cans. The food though… disappointing or lack-luster. There’s a Japanese menu of ramen, rice bowls and small plates. I was actually very excited for it. We order small plates of shishito peppers, Chatsu pork bun, crispy tofu and takoyaki. All good. The crispy tofu was the best. The pork on the bun was dry, the peppers were okay and the takoyaki was okay. Nothing special happening. We ordered one rice bowl, five different ramen, and smalls plates of potato croquettes and karaage for our entrees. The eggs in all of the ramen were cold. Presumably, they make them ahead of time. The problem was that the broth for the soup was t warm enough to heat the eggs through. Same with the mushrooms in the veggie ramen – cold in the center. The rice was just okay, which is kinda the feeling for the entire meal. It wasn’t bad, just okay.
I recommend going for the beer, sake and small plates selection.

This is definitely my favorite spot in Beacon. The retro vibe and moody lighting set a great atmosphere, whether you’re dining in or just grabbing a drink. I always go for the chashu ramen, sweet potato fries, and the Plum Blossom cocktail—flavorful, crispy, and perfectly balanced. It’s a place I keep coming back to.

We love the authenticity of this location but the servers are just completely rude. We were scolded to wait to be seated- we happily go and wait in the area the server pointed us to stand in. Nobody helped us. I ask if there’s a waitlist and again scolds me to the corner where no one acknowledges you waiting. 20 min passes with no one saying anything to us. This happened to several other parties, each engagement more rude than ours. We left, and so did the others experiencing the same treatment- truly bizarre.

Over priced mediocre ramen. The server was nice and Vibes are cool. My friends liked the “small plates.” Charged“extra fee” for party over 6 when we sat at separate booths. Each booth only seats 6, we were offered no option for a party of 9 to sit together . We sat at booths across from each other. I have gone here a few years back and This place was never like this before. Disappointed that nothing was done when I pointed it out. Said a “cash discount” is offered. “Credit card fee” was $10 more than bill. This should be illegal. If I wanted to be charged Manhattan prices, I would have gone there. Again it wasn’t like this on prior visits a few years back. Never going again.
