Reminds me of the boba shops of my childhood! We stopped by for some good ol’ almond slush and their boba milk tea special.
On our first visit, we got the boba milk tea special, in a large size at 25% sweet and no ice ($4.20!! what a steal!) and a small almond slush at 50% sweet and no toppings ($3.95). It was a hot day and both drinks were refreshingly good.
The next visit, I got the boba milk tea special again, but this time in a medium size with less ice and 25% sweet ($3.45, again a steal at that price!). We also ordered more food and snacks to try, namely the mild fried combo ($7.99), mild popcorn chicken ($8), and the minced beef egg rice for $11 (not to be confused with the $7.99 special one). I liked the fried combo (came with at least 3-4 different items), popcorn chicken, and the rice. BF thought the popcorn chicken was sufficient, but preferred the chicken from other locations. For a one stop shop of drinks, snacks, and actual food food, Quickly is a great option with plenty of seating inside. So glad it’s around for reasonably priced eats and some childhood nostalgia!
Quickly shares a parking lot with several other businesses in the plaza. Close parking may be hard, but there’s a good amount if you don’t mind a little walking and there’s also street parking if need be.

While in the area, we decided to stop by this Quickly location. The exterior had a more modern look compared to other Quickly spots we’ve visited, and the inside was clean and well-maintained. We ordered tea beverages along with popcorn chicken topped with lots of spicy powder. They were generous enough to include extra chili powder on the side, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, they were running low on boba when we arrived, so our drinks had to split what was left. To top it off, we were approached and told the shop would be closing in 10 minutes, which made us feel a bit rushed and like we were being kicked out. Strangely, as we were leaving, a large group walked in and wasn’t given the same heads-up. That part left a weird impression.

The location was great, in the middle of Temple City, in a large plaza right across from Hughes market.
There was only one person working, so it took a while and that’s ok.
The food was ok, the teriyaki chicken and beef were bland and dry, but the Popcorn chicken was pretty good, and the portions are big.
The prices were cheaper than other places for the similar dishes of the same size.
The boba drinks were pretty good, about half to almost one third of what other places charge.

I’ve been coming here for years to order the popcorn chicken and the last two times have been such a big disappointment. The flavor is there but there are so many tendons in the chicken. And aren’t they supposed to be bite sized? They’re super big pieces. Unfortunately, I will have to find another place to buy my popcorn now.

I ordered a regular milk tea with boba this evening and while drinking, I bit into something hard and spat it out. It looks like a metal twist tie… Not really sure why that would be in a drink but just wanted to bring some attention to this because it could be a choking hazard especially for children and just be hazardous in general if it were to be ingested. Management should take care to make sure these kind of incidents don’t occur in a food establishment.

Menu looked good with fair price, but then they charged higher price than what was advertised on their board because they said they are changing prices! Popcorn chicken and noodles were rather small portions for the price. Tasty food though.

Portion is super generous; however my popcorn chicken is over-friend so it’s very dry and I ended up throwing up half of the bag.

Spicy fried tofu is the best. Drinks are a GREAT VALUE, reasonably priced, and the drink/food menu is extensive. Complete dinners are available, too. Quick and friendly service.

Food is great, I’ve been eating here since I was in middle school, and I’m fresh out of college. But honestly the service makes it feel not as welcoming. The male workers never look like they want to be there to work, as if someone is forcing them to work. The female workers are very nice and welcoming though so I guess that cancels it out?
