Queenstown Village
Tucked in San Diego’s La Jolla, Queenstown Village is where coastal California flavors meet New Zealand charm — casual, fun, and always a little cheeky.

The food was pretty good. However the virgin margarita wasn’t adjusted to taste good without alcohol so it had a really salty aftertaste. The atmosphere was amazing. Would love to come again once they get a new mochtail menu as the waiter informed us it was discontinued.

First time visiting and we came on a Saturday afternoon around 1 PM. This place is absolutely beautiful—so thoughtfully and elegantly decorated. My kids were obsessed with the flower aesthetics and kept calling it “fancy,” which made the experience even more fun. The food was just as fancy as the décor—delicious, flavorful, and fabulous with every single bite.
I ordered the mimosa flight (three tall glasses!) and I highly recommend the lavender and pineapple. If I could do it all over again, I’d honestly get three lavender—that’s how good it was. It paired perfectly with everything we ordered. The kids had hot chocolate and loved it.
We ordered one meal at a time, which probably wasn’t the best idea because the service was very slow. Next time, we’ll order everything at once. That said, the food is 100% worth the wait. We started with the New Zealand pot pie, which the kids loved, followed by a burger with potato wedges, and then the hanger steak and French toast—both are absolute must-tries. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely a place we’ll return to! Overall a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

The Lamb smash was incredible, the Cippiono was excellent, the lamb pot pie was good. The Illegal was good. The Mai Tai was ok and the Porch Pleaser was good. NZ IPA was good.
Service on a Sunday night was tight, except for drink that showed up after the meal.
Atmosphere was “self aware chic”

My friends and I celebrated Christmas at this restaurant this year. We were very pleased with everything – the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the decorations. I liked it so much that I celebrated my birthday there with my family! Thank you so much! We will definitely come back and I will recommend you to everyone!

Love the atmosphere! Friendly servers. Good menu selections.
My husband had a habanero fried chicken sandwich. He says it was delicious!
Ihad a hanger steak & FF. It was prepared exactly to order: medium rare. The FF are shoestring cut.
We shared an appetizer of Brussel Sprouts with a maple glaze and dried cranberries. It was very good and prepared differently from the usual pork belly and Parmesan served in most restaurants.
Upbeat music played but not too loud. You could talk over the noise.
Servers are fast, friendly & attentive.

This place is amazing! I have celiac’s disease (so I am gluten free) and they were super accommodating and knowledgeable! There’s no gluten in the fryer, so I was able to have delicious sweet potato fries with my burger! Besides having great food, the staff were so sweet and friendly. And… the atmosphere… gorgeous! Flowers everywhere and really well designed. Great place for date night, celebrations, or just for fun! Even the playlist was perfect (and not overly loud where you can’t have a conversation). Highly recommend!

This is one of the most floral style beautiful romantic restaurants in San Diego! If you are looking for somewhere for a girls date, here’s a great spot! It’s New Zealand food. We came here and amazed by the cute decorations, you feel like to dine in a garden. We ordered some a Zealand staple – meat pie, and a beet salad, plus a flower pot bread and baked Brie. Everything is so delicious! I definitely love the meat pie a lot. The beet salad is also fresh and tasty. The baked Brie is yummy with honey and apple. We had two desserts, one is a dark chocolate cake, another is a meringue. The meringue is super delicious! I highly recommend it. The chocolate one is not impressive. But the most recommended one from me is the espresso martini flight! All three flavors are so great, it’s really great flavors of the flight. I’ll definitely recommend this place.

Loving the Christmas decor! Came for brunch… Make sure to pack a jacket because if you sit inside you will catch the breeze from all open windows. Cool atmosphere with funky music. The veggie pie was so good! If you order a burger keep in mind that if you want fries it is $7 up charge. It says on the menu but we weren’t aware of this until the bill came. Burger with fries, a pot pie with fries and a drip coffee came out to be a little over $50. They present the check to you in a creative way… I took a picture but I’ll keep the surprise for you.

We love Queenstown! The food and service are always excellent. Tonight, we had Emily as our waitress, and she was absolutely fantastic. You will be lucky if you get her as your server.

The servant was very impolite with us, spending so little time with us, she tossed the food and went away, she was a middle aged lady, I ended up tipping her but I definitely wasn’t satisfied how she treated us. Cocktails on the other hand were disaster, steak and fries were very ordinary, just the good thing was spinach and strawberry salad and the atmosphere. Won’t go back there and I don’t recommend it at all:)
