Completely disappointed.
They not only skipped out on giving us our whole second order of fries, but this pathetic pile is what was in the only box that is supposed to be for a family? They weren’t even cooked
When was this gravy made a week ago?
Also I hate to keep insisting that they actually give us tartar sauce. 4 pathetically small containers. You sell fish and chips! Give out tartar sauce! Frigging charge more but I suggest not giving customers dirty looks when they ask for it.
We are happy to pay for good food, but we wont be back here again. The food is good when done right, but I don’t want to play the “will it be edible” game each time I order, or be nickled and dimed over tartar sauce.

been here plenty of times and it’s my first time in awhile. last time they gave the sauce in the baggies but never seen them give out the sauce in THIS SMALL OF A PORTION. those four have enough sauce in them combined to fill ONE.

Best fish and chips in Hamilton. We’ve tried others but none of them come close to how good the fish and chips is here. The dining area is spotless and so is the washroom. No need to go ANYWHERE else.

Queenston Fish and Chips is a fantastic place year over year with excellent owners. They are the same owners as always despite some first time reviewers saying otherwise.
The Halibut is well portioned and the fries are great. The place is cash only as it always has been. The lovely lady making the fish and chips is the same person and I believe her son owns the store.
This is one of Hamilton’s best fish and chips. They have done a fabulous job and treat their customers fairly.
The other fish species is just as good but I like halibut. Possibly the biggest portion size in the city.

Absolutely perfect fish and chips. I called ahead before we arrived and they had them try for when we got in.
Their batter was so light and crispy it was amazing. They had also deep friend and battered an onion rings and a mushroom and they were also a wow.
What I also love about this place is that they are open u til 9pm. It seems that everywhere else likes to close at 8:30pm. With the quality and awesome timing they had I will be going back there for my fish and chips.
Only issue was that they only accept cash. Be prepared for when you go there to have your cash ready! There is no debit or credit accepted!!

Since the new owners took over… terrible food for a terrible price. Ordered 2 large meals and got 2 small pieces of fish. Barley any fry’s. And a cold gravy. Talk about terrible service. Was never even told a price or how long or how much on the phone. And upon arrival was told cash only and had to go get cash.. food was all cold with a 5 minute car ride… plus barley got anything for $40… not worth my time or money next time I won’t be going to queenston fish and chips! That’s forsure

Service was a bit slow but is expected for Easter.
The halibut pieces are thicker than steaks.
Well worth every penny.

Great staff. The Halibut fish is top notch. Overall, is good. I’m a gravy monster so a bit more gravy would of been great with the poutine.

Got the fish and chips with gravy and coleslaw and was cooked perfectly, also tasted fresh. I went on Friday May 28th 2021 around 5:30 pm approximately and only waited about 15- 20 minutes which was pretty good . I would have given a higher rating but there was a few issues such as the owners wearing their masks pulled down under their chins, yet all the staff were wearing their masks properly. Please wear your mask for customer safety and your safety, it’s the Coronavirus law. Parking lot is very tight getting in and out safely. I noticed prices have gone up $7- $8 dollars for the family pack fish and chips ,and $2-$2.50 for a single order of fish and chips. Still reasonable prices though. Its CASH ONLY but no signs indicating this , I was told to go across the street to use the ATM machine . I would go back though because I enjoyed the food.

Amazing fish n chips. Huge portion. Ordered the family package and it was more than we could eat. Tons of tartar sauce which in our family is a must. You can call ahead and order and pick up very fast. Service was good. Cash only!! I learned the hard way. $50 all in for family package. You choose the type of fish you prefer as well.
