Great food, friendly service, and charming atmosphere! Be sure to make a reservation as spots are limited but well worth planning ahead for. Everything on the menu is delicious, they always have good specials on, and the restaurant is small and cozy. The perfect spot for a date night or catch up with close friends.

I cannot say enough about this place! I’m a big foodie. I love to cook. And I’ll say, I’m a bit picky. This restaurant far surpasses every expectation! Everything I’ve ordered is delightful. Perfectly executed. From the coconut shrimp, to the chicken supreme, to the best burger in town, incredible tossed chicken fingers and to die for fish and chips. I could go on… but if you’re wondering where to go for dinner tonight, look no further!

One of Guelph’s best Restaurants.
This restaurant is only a couple of blocks from our home, but unfortunately we only just got around to checking it out.
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, but I have recently heard some great feedback from some friends who tried it.
So, when we were looking for a place to go for dinner in Guelph this night we finally made the decision to go to Queens cafe.
This is a small restaurant in a tiny plaza so there is not a lot of seating. Luckily there was a table at the back of the restaurant where we could done, because the front was packed and it looked like we were not going to get a table.
The restaurant looks very nice inside. Clean, open Concept, long and narrow.
The service started out strong, but there was a long gap between our apps and when we got dinner.
There was a table of 2 ladies who sat a while after we already finished our apps and they were getting their meals before we did.
The food options are really good. Individual prices are very reasonable. The food is beautifully presented, fresh ingredients, beautiful combinations, and everything was delicious.
I had the lamb chops which was a special menu item and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, fresh and properly cooked sides of mashed potatoes and veggies.
The salmon was perfection and the Shanghai stir-fry was full of flavour.
The apps we had calamari and egg rolls, and they were very tasty.
The food is amazing. I really enjoyed everything we had.
I have 2 suggestions for anyone visiting this restaurant
1) make reservations to ensure a table – it is a small restaurant
2) ask the price of the specials before ordering. The lamb chops were considerably more expensive than most menu items. (They were worth it, but just a bit of a shock)
This is definitely going to be a regular place for us to eat in Guelph. The food was fantastic and I definitely want to try everything on the menu.

Surprised to find this place after driving past it for years. More of an upscale restaurant than a cafe. The food (I had short rib pasta) was incredible. Easy to park. Beautifully decorated. Service was awesome.

Take out order- Best steaks ever!!! Had both steaks on the menu and they were the BEST steaks I’ve ever had: Melted in our mouth.
Perfectly Cooked and complientary accompaniment of seasonal vegetables.
The food was ready when they said and the venue is cozy, albeit busy ( RSVP recommended) not so secret place now.. enjoy!

I mean nothing was truly bad.. I just didn’t find anything extraordinarily good. The Brie and asparagus chicken itself was fine and seasoned nicely, but it was disappointing to come with vegetables and potatoes that were completely unseasoned. Not even a dash of salt or pepper. The beef dip was as imagined. The mushroom risotto on the side was also underwhelming. Could’ve been a lot creamier and a lot more flavourful. Every aspect of our meal could have been elevated with just some simple changes. Although, the antojitos were great! Filled with cheese and bacon and chives, they were definitely the highlight of the meal and would definitely recommend them.

Great experience! Everybody was super friendly.
Tiny but cozy.
My only complaint was the high seats but that’s normal for me because I’m short my feet can’t reach the ground.
Also, being right beside the kitchen there was lots of clanging but that’s to be expected.

After driving by countless times, we finally made it in. Cozy atmosphere for being in a busy location. Server Will was good. Food came out hot, flavorful, and we are already planning our next visit to try other items on the menu. Had the Chicken Parm and Short Rib Pappardelle. Both were decent portions, great presentation and well seasoned.

My husband and I were told about the Queens Cafe by some friends. I have to say we had the beef tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection! The service was great. Will did a great job tending to us during our meal. Thank you Queens Cafe for a wonderful dinner!
