Great lunch spot in a cute quiet part of downtown. They have amazing sandwiches. the bread is big reason for that, the toast level was perfection. The chef might have a toastie doctorate degree from the CIA. They also have an excellent selection of beers, booches and other craft drinks. Highly recommend this over everything we walked past on king st.

I really don’t want to leave a bad review but we went here for breakfast and spent more than I thought it was worth. Besides the very ok food, the bathroom was basically way back through the stock room and was a plywood box with a toilet that hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. I can see how this restaurant might be “charming” but for $45 for 1 omelette, 1 crepe and a cup of coffee there are better spots in Charleston. Might be a good lunch spot?

A wonderful cafe, very kid and dog friendly that locals and tourists come to. Sandwiches, crepes and smoothies were so good, the kids ate everything they ordered.
They also have water you can fill your water bottles inside the store.

Nice little corner cafe to get bite. Lotsa crepes to choose from, sweet and savory. I had a sweet crepe – banana, brown sugar, brown butter – which was really good. The service was friendly and professional. Though not much of a grocery store, they have a nice beer selection.

Great food and service. Can get a bit busy at lunch. So good that I had breakfast and lunch 2x this week. Indoor and outdoor seating by the entrance and more thru the grocery area. Great soup and sandwiches. Great beer selection.
Back 3x this week amazing breakfast and lunch. Enjoy!!!
But eat there while you can. The neglected water intrusion won’t let it be around all that longer. It appears the earthquake bolts are holding the buckling outside wall together.

Found this place on the last day in town and what a gem. This place has that classic locals sandwich shop feel, in a classic building. The staff was friendly and personable. Then the sandwich was excellent and for the price a good value. I had the Houdini and it was soooo good. Next time I want to try their breakfast menu.

Queen St Grocery is fantastic! We had the El Cubano and the Italian, both were so flavorful and fresh made. We will definitely be making it back there asap!

Visiting Charleston from out of state and Queen Streed Grocery was on our list of places we had to try. I loved the local, laid-back atmosphere. It’s in walking distance of the King/Queen street area, but doesn’t feel touristy. It was busy when we arrived but our food came quickly. The staff were kind and friendly. My friend and I split the John’s Island and Edisto crepes. They were divine. Highly recommend!

I was exploring Charleston, looking for a lunch stop, and decided to stop by the Queen Street Grocery based on reviews. I was not disappointed.
I couldn’t make up my mind, but the very friendly staff was incredibly helpful. I ended up trying the Happy Houdini sandwich, St. Helena crepe, and Huger Street smoothie.
Everything was delicious. I had to save my crepe for later, and it was still amazing. I will be back for sure the next time I’m in Charleston.
