I’ve got to give credit where it’s due — Queb’s Country Store has seriously stepped it up.
First off, the boudin has gotten SO much better. It used to have that heavy soy sauce taste that overpowered everything, but not anymore. Whatever change they made — whether it’s a new recipe or someone new running the kitchen — they absolutely nailed it. It tastes balanced, seasoned right, and like real Louisiana boudin should.
The smoked meat lately has also been on point. The flavor is deep and clean, not overly salty, and the cuts are perfect. Whoever is doing the smoking and cutting now knows exactly what they’re doing. It’s consistent, it’s tender, and it looks as good as it tastes.
On top of that, the prices are very fair. In a time when everything keeps going up, it’s refreshing to walk into a local store and feel like you’re getting quality without being gouged.
If you haven’t been lately, it’s worth another stop. Big improvement, and it shows.

Definitely glad they opened up. Little bit of everything and always someone trying to help you out. Great meat selection, great plate lunches, and a great store.

Wow this hidden gem serves up delishish food! They run out quick, are extremely busy and seating is limited but the food is worth any inconvenience!

The food is really good as well as the fresh meat. Would give a 5 star, but the food service is very, very slow. If you call it in well in advance, it’s fine. Don’t go there and expect to order and get your food in less than 30 + minutes. This place could be a gold mine if the kitchen service was quicker. Seriously good food and fresh meat. Tasso roast is amazing! The atmosphere is causal and clean but not fancy.

Perhaps shame on me for not sticking with the daily special as they have that already prepared ready to plate. But why have anything else on a huge menu if you don’t have anyone to make it. I ordered here and it took literally 50 minutes not including standing in the queue. 50 minutes to make 2 grilled cheeses, 2 burgers, and 2 sandwiches. The food was good I guess, but not wait 50 mins good. Probably 40 people walked in and out before we got our good

Quebs has never disappointed when it comes to lunch! But yesterday I picked up a pack of marinated beef for supper. Oh man it made the perfect gravy! Will definitely be back! The meat selection is awesome! ♥️

Some of the best cracklin and hog head cheese I ever had! They have a variety of specialty meats (fresh/smoked/marinated) that I plan on trying next. Cashier was very sweet.

Queb’s is the best I love the atmosphere I love the food the burgers are so big and juicy the boudin is great. The daily plate lunches I went yesterday and I got a plate lunch I had fried fish fettuccine green salad and corn just for 12 dollars and my plate was full and real heavy. Yall better go and check them out in plaisance I give them a 10 /10. And the cooks they always have gloves on

Awesome little country store. Drove out from Lafayette 3 times to get some lunch. The boudin quesadilla is amazing. Highly recommend. While there is a little wait sometimes, the wait is worth it. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and the food is delicious. Ca c’est bon!
