Que Tortas! in Escondido is a true hidden gem! Hands down the best torta I’ve had so far in California — packed with flavor and made to perfection. We also ordered a pressed juice, and you can really taste how fresh the fruit is, absolutely top-notch. The place itself is spotless, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Everything about this spot makes you want to come back.

I haven’t been here in a while and was craving a beets, carrots, pineapple.and spinach juice. I ordered a large cup and requested no ice. I got my drink its it was just below half way with actual juice and the rest was foam, you can’t drink the foam. I was about to get charged around $12 for a half empty cup of juice. I expressed my concern with the cashier and I asked her if she would charge me for the medium which is about $8. She was hesitant but eventually agreed to it. I feel like they fill the entire cup with ice and only top it off with a small amount of juice which is a rip off/scam.

i usually love que torta always get the same thing very simple torta. i called in an order one day and asked for a que torta with no onion jalapeño and chipotle sauce. the girl on the other end repeated back “just the sandwich?” and i agreed. when i went to go pick up the order i got a wheat bread sandwich even when my receipt said que torta. my boyfriend told them and they argued first saying i asked for a sandwich when i only ever said torta and agreed when the employee said sandwich because i thought tortas were sandwiches. they replaced it and ended up giving me a torta with everything on it when i asked for the no onion no jalapeño and chipotle sauce. i was done complaining and halfway through my lunch so i opened the sandwich and started to take out the toppings i didn’t want and then i found a beard hair on the ham i was so disappointed and i just left without saying anything. i like going there when theres older people working but the teenage girls are very unwelcoming.

My review is based only on the food I ordered and not the service or atmosphere. I purchased a chamango, and it was completely inedible. It was extremely sour, almost like it had grapefruit or orange blended into it, or the mango just wasn’t ripe. On top of that, the place felt overpriced. For one horchata, one chamango, and one torta, I paid $35 which felt steep. With that cost in mind, I would have gone somewhere else.

3/15/2023 – Came randomly ( was starving )
I was asking for recommendations and Ariamna and she said try the Que Torta (has all three meats ) was not sure what to expect but I was impressed! ( The bread is so fresh and toasted nicely . I got it with everything on it ♥️
Everything was made with fresh products and ❤️. I also got a fresh ( pineapple , orange and carrot ) it was made fresh !
It was so delicious
Hands downs one of the best tortas I’ve had in a long time . I ate the entire thing lol
Place is clean
They have a lot of tables and chairs .
Customer service was great
Bathroom was clean !

The staff was friendly, and the food was great. However, I was disappointed with the size of the smoothie. I ordered a medium, but it looked more like a small—about the size of a regular 12oz soda can. If this is considered a medium, I can’t imagine how small the actual small is. For just a dollar more, I could’ve gone to my usual spot and gotten a large smoothie that’s at least two and a half times bigger.

Tortas are delicious! The only reason why I’m giving it 3 stars is because I went in and bought 4 tortas, a bag of chips and a juice, total was $56 (I got a chicken torta) when I got home I took a bite of my torta and noticed how thin the chicken was, I opened it up and it only had two small, thin pieces of chicken! I was so disappointed I’ve had their turkey tortas before and they are bomb, I guess stay away from the chicken torta they hardly put any meat

This is my favorite go to for lunch. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing! It’s healthy and really good. You can taste its freshness. I recommend you call in your order because they’re always busy during lunch time.

Tortas are huge, tasty and generously served, Juices however are a bit too pricy for the size (not sure if it’s organic).
