I have been wanting to go to Que Rico! Cuban Cafe and once I went to Slidell, I had to come. Their food is great. So many options. If this place was closer, I would definitely be going more often and trying their other plates. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is nice and it is spacious. Their rice and beans and their sandwiches are good for kids to eat. The steak palomilla and lechon had great flavor and I love their sweet plantains. I like how they have the lunch bowls, perfect for a quick bite for lunch. The service could have been better. Didn’t even get offered refill for our waters. But overall the food is great!

We ate lunch there Saturday. The pork dinners are amazing!! Great service. Even the water looked good when it hit the table with the mint sprig in it. Wished they would bring a Cuban restaurant to the Pensacola area!!

It was a girls night last night and we stopped in for dinner after the Barbie movie. The Cuban dishes were authentic and delicious! The waitress was very sweet and the service was excellent. Very hip vibe! Mojitos we’re sooo good! My daughter ordered a cuban sandwich and it was delish! Unfortunately I couldn’t snap a pic of the sandwich.

Nice ambiance & delicious food! There was Cuban music playing in the background and green plants throughout the restaurant, giving it a Havana courtyard vibe. Coffee and cocktail menus offered a good variety of drink options. The dessert selection was small but satisfying. Just happened to be in the area. Will definitely visit again!

I’ve been waiting years for them to reopen, and I’m so happy that they are now back. The food is as great as ever, the location is fantastic and the ambience is amazing. Amazing amazing amazing! The best authentic Caribbean food you are going to get outside of Florida. The new place in Slidell is beautiful and such a vibe, a whole experience. A beautiful aesthetic while enjoying the best Cuban food. Drinks are top notch. They are opened for soft opening which means they are still working things out with their large staff when they have only operated with smal staff all these years. If you can’t appreciate the hard work these owners have put into this business and realize that they started as a hole in the wall then don’t waste your time and bring your negativity there. But if you be patient while the new staff is training hard it is worth the wait 1000%!!!!!
