Casual home style place for lunch or dinner with family or friends.
The service was friendly and helpful.
There are over 100 items on the menu from popular items to lesser known items.
The Bun Bo Hue was delicious with generous portions of meat including a pork rib.
Ample parking in front.
This mom-and-pop Vietnamese restaurant is a hidden gem. The personal service makes you feel right at home, and the food is absolutely delicious—full of flavor, great portions, and very reasonably priced. Perfect spot for large parties since dishes can be shared family-style. If you’re looking for more than just pho, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
I visit at least 3 or 4 times a month. The Pho broth is rich and flavorful. The Pork Chop combination plates are excellent. The pork chop (or sliced pork if that is what you want) are cooked to perfection and the other elements of the combination are so good! The salt and pepper squid is my all time favorite!
When you spend $30+, you get free eggrolls. The eggrolls don’t come with anything – no fish sauce, no lettuce or other garnishments. We asked for fish sauce and they did bring some. The eggrolls were delicious. The Bun Bo Hue was also very flavorful with plenty of meat. The rau muong xao toi was so good. The ca kho and thit kho to was great but having the fish mixed in with the pork was difficult to eat. The pork was slicked really thin. The service was great and very attentive. Would definitely come back here to try some more dishes.
I had the 020 series combination plate (10.50). I chose a beef and chicken that was freshly grilled and a stuffed shrimp patty (extra). The bowl of soup was good, it had a slight “enhancement” to it that made it more savoury that usual. Still will drink it.
I then had the 047 Summer Delight Salad (14.95) Vegetables were crisp and broader strips of jellyfish were in the plate. Pork belly slices were moist and had no offensive odour.
Access is kind of weird since it is in middle of a long street block. You might miss it unless you are careful looking, the location is a little before the intersection of Bellaire and Eldridge. It is right next to a funeral home if that it helps.
in short portions are more than fair for the price and the food comes out fast. I will definitely go back and try their other offerings.
Enormous portions, excellent service, and very fair pricing for food. The food was mediocre in my taste. The canh chua needed more sour and tang, the goi was cut way too thick to eat, and the nuoc mam needed sugar. Other than that, this is a solid establishment.
