We’re New Yorkers visiting our kid at Oberlin, and we were a little nervous about how we’d be received. Servers were lovely, food was simple and great (fresh veggies in the omelette, excellent potatoes!). They were busy and understaffed but we’re patient people and the food was worth waiting for. The son loved that the server called him “babe.”

This was our first time at the Quarry. It took awhile for our food to arrive and it could’ve been warmer, but we weren’t disappointed with our breakfast. My husband is a pancake officiando, and rarely does he like what he gets in a restaurant, but he really enjoyed his blueberry pancake. I enjoyed my food as well. Especially the biscuits and gravy. We will be back!

11am on a Friday. Dirty dishes on every table and a whole lot piled on another. Very hot, no air. We didn’t stay to try the food.

Right now we are sitting here waiting for our breakfast. I’m able to partially write this review since I have the time. I could be eating but, well we’re waiting. While sitting here, the place needs a makeover. Two ladies trying to serve and clean dishes at the same time. That apparently includes washing dishes. Which allows me to point out the large pile of dirty dishes sitting on the counter. Tables partially cleaned because the server had to go help elsewhere. I’m now on my second cup of coffee, still no breakfast.
30 minutes later, time for breakfast.
So the food was decent. No complaints on that. However, the lady washing dishes served us our food. Never washed her hands.

Came in and there was only three people seated and one picking up to go order. No one gave us a menu nor asked us if we wanted something to drink. Instead, the waitress was busy emptying dirty dishes and ignoring us. We walked out never to return. Don’t waste your time.
