Amazing. Chef Chris sat with us and talked to us about his menu, his love of Italy and his obsession with quality ingredients. He has a fantastic story. Him and his wife are really great people. They write the menu every day based on ingredients available and quality of said ingredients. The food he serves is not only delicious but a window into his philosophy as a chef and as a human being. His knowledge of wine is impressive and his pairing recommendations superb. I feel very fortunate to have found this restaurant and will be a customer for as long as he’ll have us. We were greeted by Chef Chris who was so friendly & accommodating, yet professional & efficient. He explained the menu items down to the finest detail, which helped us narrow down our choices.
Izzy stepped in and carried the great service on…right to the end. Our meals were amazing, you could taste the love and skill in every bite. The bread service was impressive, a type of house made flatbread that was crispy on the surface, but nice and tender inside. I would highly recommend the mussels to start and then take it from there.

Quality Foods is an experience and an education. If you saw it from the outside you would think it’s a pizzeria that you can just drop in for a quick bite. If you just walked in off the street you might be confused because half of the place is storage for wine and food. There are only about four tables available inside. But the reason we would go back is the experience.
We were almost full before dinner. We had fantastic bread & olive oil/balsamic, caprese salad and tomato bisque. So by the time our pasta came, we could barely eat half of it. But it was amazing. I ate the tastiest scallop I’ve ever had in my life. My husband had the ragu pasta and was also in love.
Again, it’s an experience that Chef Chris personally guides each guest through by talking to everyone multiple times. He’s a very proud chef and owner and we see why now.

Had an amazing dinner tonight at a restaurant that I think is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Tampa. Everything is fresh and made to order. Didn’t taste anything this fresh or good before at any other restaurant. It isn’t American Italian food. It is a true genuine Italian restaurant that will not disappoint in any way. If you are looking for a very small and intimate dining experience this is the place. Chef Chris cooks everything and comes out to check with you and answer any questions you have. The server Grace was amazing and helpful in our selections. I recommend you give it a try if you are looking for a genuine Italian meal. We left stuffed and with plenty of food to take home.

My wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I replied I wanted to go to Chef Chris’s place and get dinner. It’s an eclectic place, bottle shop, deli, bakery and restaurant. I’ve been in to buy beer and he has the best selection of Tripping Animals stuff around, if you get a chance Chef grab some cans from Pontoon Brewing in Georgia. Grabbed his pizza to go one night on the ride home from the water park. Unbelievablely fresh and tasty ingredients, burned my mouth, shoving hot pizza in, but it was worth it. Finally made it back for dinner and in no way did it disappoint. Calamari app was spicy and superb. Everyone stopped by to wish me a Happy Birthday, which was a nice touch. On one of his stops by the table, I complimented the pastry stout he had on draft. We chatted about beer for a bit, he later came by with a Belgian Stout out of his own personal stash. A very interesting beer with a fruity wooded flavor and a very kind gesture. The entrees were fantastic but I have to comment on the house salad. By far the best house salad I’ve had at any restaurant, really wasn’t expecting that. We’ll definitely be back, even with the long drive. His wife, daughter and server were all top notch and made for a great evening. Thanks again!

High quality lovingly crafted Italian foods with ingredients imported fresh from Italy. Absolutely delicious and flavourful home made pastas, would highly recommend the pesto and salsiccia but everything we’ve had every time we’ve been has been spot on.
The service is impeccable and personal with very attentive staff and the chef owner comes around to advise on what you’re eating.
This is actually what good food and service is Tampa Bay, stop wasting your money on average experiences at high prices.

This is one of the best meals and a place to go if you want something special. It’s not just that the food and service are amazing. It is a complete experience . This is what it is like to be in Italy , enjoying a meal with company and never feeling rushed . Most everything here is made from ingredients shipped directly from . No preservatives and super fresh ! If this place was in downtown Tampa you would have to make reservations a year in advance , that’s how great it is. It’s very small but that’s also what makes it great.

Do yourself a favor and have a meal at Quality Foods Market. I guarantee it will become your favorite restaurant due to the personal service from Chef Chris and the staff. If you are a meat lover have either of the steaks, you will be having the best steaks in the world. The pasta entrees are excellent and true Italian style. Chef Chris and his staff make everything fresh to order. On days, such as Mother’s Day, Quality Foods usually has several special entrees. The fish dishes are magnificent. The pizza’s are so good, you will never be able to have a Pizza anywhere else.

If you are a genuine foodie you owe it to yourself to experience this cute little gem Chef Chris and his wife Emily have put together. It’s a classic European-style market with a handful of tables for dining. You will find very few restaurants in Tampa where the person preparing your food has the passion and knowledge this couple yields, with zero pretension. When they say “quality foods” they mean it. They are bringing in some of the finest meats, cheeses, pastas and desserts directly from Italy, and that’s not counting the bread etc. that is all made in-house. Superb olive oils, magical aged Balsamic vinegars, stunning wines and beers, etc.
