Drove to the Quaker Steak & Lube in the Corridor G Shopping Center south of Charleston WV today. My wife and I walked in and we were greeted by a smiling young woman as she grabbed a couple of menus from a large toolbox. We were seated immediately.
Within a few seconds, a polite and friendly girl by the name Maddy came and took our drink order and just under a minute squared us away with drinks.
She listened intently to our orders and went back to place our wants to the kitchen. During cooking time, she brought us an appetizer of Boom Boom Shrimp, sorry no photo included. Very hot, well prepared, but the sauce was a little more than what we expected. Glad we had extra napkins and moist towelettes. By time we were on the last shrimp she had refills of iced sweet tea.
Maddy then collected our appetizer dirty dishes and brought out our meals. My wife had a Biker’s Chick Salad and I had a 10 count Bone in Wings with Thai ‘R’ Cracker sauce with a side of French Fries.
The salad was enormous. The thin sliced chicken was spiced nicely however, cooked just a minute too long. The salad did have a nice taste and full of texture and flavors.
The wings appeared to be fried. They were cooked to a good crisp and each bite was juicy inside. The sauce used was just right and had a very good taste. The French fries were hot, fresh, crispy and delicious.
If you haven’t tried Quaker Steak & Lube, it’s set up like a big garage with race cars, dirt bikes, automobile memorabilia of all kinds. It’s a nice place to hang out with family and or friends. The staff was great! Keep up the good work and if your waitress or waiter does a good job, let them know. A thank you goes a long way to know they’re appreciated.

Hmmm. We recently tried this restaurant during a 2-week trip to KY/WV. Had not been to a Quaker Steak & Lube before and since it was close to the hotel thought we’d give it a go. It was okay. It would have been MUCH better if the restaurant itself had been kept up since it was built. It was like so many 90s/2000s restaurant chains that had built a bunch of locations, but had failed to keep them fresh and clean. The concept is great, and the overall look is neat when you walk in, but little has been done inside or outside to keep it updated, clean, or fresh. Our food was okay, but that’s all. Personally, we would not return to one of these until the chain updates it’s restaurants and emphasizes cleanliness.

Food & service were both good. Everything was pleasant, clean, great place to go & eat! We got the wings (which were phenomenal!!!) & our server helped us pick out our flavors when we couldn’t choose. The loaded sweet potato fries appetizer is THE BEST!

We had the absolute best experience. There wasn’t a single thing to complain about! Our server, Nicole, was perfect. She was super attentive, sweet, knowledgeable, just a complete professional. The food is out of this world. So many choices and every single item brought to our table was incredible. I’m not sure how I’ve never been here before but I will certainly be back.

It’s hard to get more than three stars out of me. This place was excellent. But, I don’t think I really tested them. I just ordered a burger. Next time I’ll try their steak. The food was excellent. Like, I would order this for my last meal; excellent. The waitress even suggested I send the burger back because the onions were not sauteed enough. Decor was cool and the place was clean and modern looking. I didn’t find it tired like some other reviews. I thought it was a colorful and refreshing place to bring the family. Only complaint we had was the Mango Habanero sauce tasted more like sweet BBQ sauce than either mango or habanero.

This is the first time we have been to a Quaker Steak & Lube and it was fantastic. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with the menu explaining the items and making great suggestions. The food was perfect. So hot, fresh, and tasty. We had a wonderful dinner experience. The restaurant was clean with a awesome atmosphere. We loved all the automotive items everywhere. We sat with a whole Stingray Corvette above our heads with another one mounted sideways on the wall….incredible. Thank you so much for the fantastic dinner.

We went to a birthday dinner for my brother tonight at Quaker in Southridge, we got him birthday cards with hundreds of dollars of gift cards in them. We forgot the cards on the table and walked right back inside (no more than 5 minutes). By the time we made it back inside they were gone. A worker offered to go through the dumpster and looked for them. When they were found the cards were out of the envelopes and crumpled. The gift cards were gone and no where to be found. the workers were standing around smirking and the manager was RUDE and not helpful at all saying that there were no cameras and told us to leave. we called South Charleston police and waited for an hour and they never showed up. (shocker) an employee stole those gift cards and clearly got away with it. i advise you not to go there if you don’t want your things stolen.

Ordered a Philly cheesesteak melt and it was so good. Restaurant was clean, mattress gave great service, and I wood recommend Quaker Steak and Lube to anyone. Prices were reasonable also.

Great dining experience! Food and cocktails are great. Atmosphere is fantastic with all the car themed decor. Wait staff were friendly. My only complaint was one of the waiters was wearing cologne so heavy I could smell it several tables away and it interfered with the flavor of my food.

Went this evening staying at hotel next door and was pleasantly surprised. Food was really good for the price and very good portions. I thought the staff were super nice and very cool atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
