Shockingly bad.
The roast duck tastes OK except it’s literally swimming in its oil.
This place is not ready.
The portions were lit of rice, smaller portion of meet and equal veggie. fAt about $50 for two plates, it felt a bit pricey for what you get, but that may just be the reality of San Francisco.
Taste is subjective, everyone’s preferences are different. Overall, solid service and a convenient takeout experience.
Bought 3 meat rice for 23 bucks.
Cost only $13 two years ago.
That’s 10 bucks increase!
Ordered pork belly, Roast duck and char siew. Came with rice and veggie and 4 sauces.
Roast duck was good. Char siew was yums.
But for USD23 bucks……a bit pricey…
Maybe just roast duck or 2 meat rice next time…can forgo the pork belly.
Maybe Hing Lung should put up the prices for 1 meat, 2 meat and 3 meat rice next time, like they used to do. Just a suggestion.
Too many places are rated by foodies and most have no idea what good Chinese food is supposed to be. This BBQ meats are pretty close to what I used to get when lived in Hong Kong.
Wish it’s a little cleaner and less hole in the wall. Get the char siu and roasted pork belly.
