Been on the lookout for the best Taiwanese pork chop rice in the area and found this spot on Yelp. Looked pretty legit, it’s been around for 15+ years from what I heard. I called in my order for pickup and they threw in a free green or red tea, which was a nice bonus.
The pork chop rice was solid. Not the best I’ve had, but still good. The pork chop isn’t battered so it’s not crispy, but it had good flavor. I liked the meat sauce they drizzle over the rice. The green tea was a bit sweet, but hey it was free.
Overall, pretty solid spot. I’d come back if I was craving this kind of pork chop rice again.

RUDE LADY!! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED BADLY.

I came here for the first time and thought I’ll give them a chance. Bad impression right away. Old asian lady charged me and gave me an unwelcoming attitude. She walked to me rudely and told me to get my food. Why not just bring the food over to me since she was already coming over? Whatever, that wasn’t my issue. My lunch got extended so I decided to eat there. The same rude lady came over to me again and asked if I’m taking it to go and I said nicely that I’ll just eat here. She immediately rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I was furious because I treated her with respect regardless of the way I was treated from the beginning. I used Google translator and told her my lunch got extended and if she wanted me to leave because she wasn’t being nice. She said I can stay. I lost my appetite and left anyways. Also, she never asked if I was taking it to go or eating there so why the unnecessary eye roll?! I usually don’t write reviews right away but I’m furious and can’t even eat my lunch! I should’ve asked for a refund because I will never support any businesses that treat customers with such disrespect!

I’ve been on a Taiwanese food binge lately and have been searching everywhere for some good, authentic Taiwanese dishes. This little mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall spot really hit the mark. The food tastes just like what I’d expect from back home or from the night markets in Taiwan.

I tried the stinky tofu (a must-have for any true Taiwanese food lover), the pork chop rice, and a few other dishes—and every bite was delicious, flavorful, and comforting. The portions are generous without being overwhelming, and the seasoning is on point.

The owners are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the dining experience feel even more like you’re visiting family. The restaurant shares a plaza with other shops, so there’s plenty of parking available, which is a big plus.

A couple of tips: it’s best to bring cash, as not everything is set up for cards. Also, they do have a restroom on site, which is always nice for a small place like this.

Overall, this is the kind of spot you want to keep coming back to—and the kind of hidden gem you almost don’t want to share so it stays special. Definitely one of my new go-to Taiwanese comfort food spots!

It’s always been pleasant to come here for food. The place is very small, kind of hard to find from the street. It’s next door from a Subway, across the street from Ralph’s store in Temple city. This place been changing ownership but there’s this older lady that always been there. Prices used to be cheap but they raised it quite a bit now. Customer service is great but I wish they can speak English better. They used to serve soup and dessert also together with the food that we ordered but not anymore.

Tiny, Taiwanese cafe was a great place for lunch.
This is a cash only business, so come prepared.
Everything was prepared to order.
Portions are generous. Very friendly service.

This Taiwanese style restaurant offers delightful vegetarian options alongside its regular fare, earning four stars. Their stinky tofu is a standout, boasting authentic flavors that please even non-vegetarians. The fried rice is equally impressive, with a perfect balance of textures and seasonings. What sets this place apart is the warm and friendly chef, who goes above and beyond to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

their boba sucks, I only got boba. Just go to quickly next doors. Their boba milk tea taste like either they left it overnight or they put in the wrong ingredients

DO NOT order beef noodle soup at QQ Kitchen, Zero star if that was available. First, the beef noodle came to our table really late. I had the worst beef noodle dish ever. The beef was NOT ate able. They tasted really bad. (Hard, smell, tasted old) When I told the lady the beef was bad, she just looked at me like she knew it was bad beef. I will never go back to that restaurant

Decent Taiwanese food at a decent price. Ordered the lightly battered fish fillet today with rice, cabbage, fried tofu, and hard boiled flavored egg. I ate the whole bento box. I was quite surprised. The winter melon iced tea was delicious too. $13 cash only. Plenty of parking. Next to subway sandwich shop. Mandarin speaking but there are pictures on the menu. Fast service. Went at 4pm. 5 min wait time.

Definitely would return again with my Taiwanese friend as she loves the oyster noodle soup. I will try their stinky deep fried tofu and oyster omelette next.

QQ has been around for quite some time, but I haven’t actually dined in until recently. I remember they used to serve only vegetarian food, but it seems like their menu has expanded back to vegetarian and Taiwanese food. They’re located in the same plaza as Subway and Domino’s, so parking is not hard to find.

Decided to relive some high school memories and dined here with a few friends (one of which is vegetarian). I was surprised at the number of vegetarian dishes offered (noodles, soups, rice), but I stuck with the regular Taiwanese dishes.

Pork and chicken rice ($7.25) seems to be the most worthwhile combo. For a relatively low price, you get a pork chop, a chicken steak, some vegetables, a soy sauce egg, pickled vegetables, and rice AND a complimentary black or green tea. What a steal, right? Their menu claims to not use high fructose corn syrup, which is nice. Food came out fairly quickly and while it was slightly oily, it was a comforting dish that filled me up with some leftovers to spare. Pork chop and chicken were both really good – although the pork chop was better just because there was more fat. The chicken was a little dry, but there was marinated flavor. Came with the perfect amount of rice – really enjoyed the sauce over the rice. I finished about 2/3 and saved the rest for lunch.

One friend ordered the sausage rice ($7.25) and another friend ordered the vegetarian curry fried rice ($7.50). The vegetarian dish normally doesn’t come with a drink, but the owner was nice enough to give it to them anyway, probably because they ended up ordered side dishes that more than compensated for the price of the drink. I tried the sausage and I really enjoyed the flavor – on par with Sinbala’s sausage rice and it came with the same vegetables and egg and tofu side dishes as my combo did. Didn’t try my friend’s vegetarian dish, but he said it was tasty.

We also got an order of popcorn chicken ($5.99) and vegetarian mushroom omelet ($5.99). The popcorn chicken was plentiful and lightly fried. I did think there was more batter than chicken, but it was a nice snack to munch on while eating the dishes. The omelet as alright – a vegetarian take on the oyster pancake, but I wasn’t a fan of the sweet and sour sauce poured on top. Flavor was alright, but probably not something I myself would order again.

As for the teas, we all got the green teas, which was a nice addition to the meal. A bit on the sweeter side, but very refreshing. I do have to say that I ended up saving the tea to drink the next day and it tasted like water.

This place is cash only and seats are quite limited. They do get out orders quickly, and lots of people seem to eat or order take-out so it’s a matter of luck if you decide to dine in. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you want something quick and cheap or you’re in the mood for vegetarian dishes.
