my family comes here a lot for the authentic northern Chinese dishes. My favorites are the pork and shrimp dumplings (Soo plump, juicy and flavorful) and spicy fish! They all taste home cooked and are the perfect answer to northern Chinese food cravings.

I had the vegetarian leek dumplings which were excellent. Good environment too. My family had the shrimp dumplings and spicy string beans which were also very good.

Wonderful little restaurant in the North of Cambridge! The big draw here is the handmade dumplings (most other places utilise machines) but here everything is made by a lovely lady. I strongly recommend the pork dumplings and also the basil chicken!

Disappointing. Wontons without filling. Egg Foo Young with little flavor and served without rice. Perhaps the other dishes are good, but these two were disappointing.

This place is aweful. The place is ran but a father and son. The son is rude and has a terrible attitude. The dad is a very nice old man. Starting that The menu does not correct prices. They are actually $4-6 more per plate. I ordered a shrimp with broccoli steam with garlic sauce on the side. (As it was written in the menu). Well it didn’t come with the sauce. I had to ask for it. And they charge me $5 for it. The dish didn’t come with white rice either. I don’t know any Chinese restaurant that gives you a rice dish without the rice. When I asked for it they charge me an extra $4. We also ordered a stream shrimp dish. But they brought a fried something. My dad didn’t started to eat it. 5 minutes later the son came and took the half eaten dish off the table and said that wasn’t ours. What did he do wit it ? Serve to someone else ? Then the nice old man (dad) came to bring us the steam dumplings and the son literally took the fish off his hands , yell at him in chinese and pushed him off to the kitchen while he was yelling. I have no idea how anyone has given this place anything but a 1 star. Maybe in the past this place was run by the dad.

Love, love, love! Wen (the owner) and his family and crew have been feeding us good home cooked meals for years. I love both their authentic Chinese food and American Chinese. Great vegetarian options and brown rice, there is something to please everyone. During their renovation, which took infinitely longer than expected, Wen paid his staff. Having done something similar for my own business, I have utmost respect for him. Now about food: My mother’s family is originally from northern Korea so a lot of their food is what I ate growing up in S Korea. My mother in law, who grew up in CT loves their general Gao’s chicken. My husband who loves all things spicy gets shredded beef with hot peppers and cucumber salad . My 3 y o daughter gets white rice ‘the best rice ever!’. My 18 months old son devours the entire order of chicken dumplings. I have been hooked to pork tripes and cold beef dish combined. If you love food, like we do, this is a must try. Ask what they have fresh that day.

This food was just awful (dumplings – tough dough, sesame cold noodles – mushy/bad taste, string beans with ginger sauce – overcooked). It all tasted bad and had terrible textures. The one decent thing we got was the sesame chicken…but it was $18 and had no rice or noodles included and only had about 8 pieces of chicken. Huge ripoff

I’m ethnic. Got the pork slices and wood fungus, Hunan chicken and kung GAO tofu. Made my own rice. Stellar taste and portions for the price in a sea of mediocre, overpriced pizza and Indian food in the area

The owners are the nicest people and their food is fresh and delicious. We tried the chicken cabbage dumplings, cumin lamb and mountain yam vegetables and all three dishes were tasty. We can’t wait to go back again soon.
