They have more soup choices than other places. We had tried mushroom soup and herb chicken soup. Both are tasty and not as salty as other places! The meat look less fatty, too!
They provide cold water and unsweetened cold red tea. The paper cups are by the checkout counter.
There are plenty of seats available in the food court and the space between seats are wider, too!

Tried this spot in the plaza and it was pretty good! Service was quite slow for a “fast food type restaurant”. They give plenty of fish and flavours were great although the soup lacked a little flavour, was just more salty than anything. Would give them another chance and try their other menu items next time!

Pros: the soup tastes ok.
Cons:
1. They are not ready for the grand opening. The servers are not trained well. People need to wait more than 10 minutes for the meat to be refilled. Same for the sauce station.
2. Too few choices especially for the meat.
3. The meat quality is low. I never seen such thin and short beef roll.
4. The labels for the food are totally messed up. You have no idea what you take.
5. The rice should be free. But the server never mentions that, until you notice and ask.
6. No one cleans the table. Since it is in a food court, not sure who should be responsible for it. But it really affects the experience.
7. Free lemon tea is something good to have, but it is too sweet.

3.5/5: Newly open with 20% discount. It has both malatang and spicy hot pot options. The meat quality was okay. We arrived early when there was not so much wait, but we waited for a while after ordering until food is ready.

newly opened place currently offers a discount of 20%, located inside the eat up! @ranch 99 market. Priced at $14.99 per pound, the spicy hot pot 麻辣燙doesn’t come with rice, while the spicy dry pot 麻辣香鍋includes free rice. The self-serve area provides beverages 檸檬山楂汁and sauces.

Opted for Szechuan pickled cabbage soup base 天府酸菜清湯and green peppercorn soup base 川香藤椒湯底; they strike a good balance without being too overpowering. However, meat cutting and kitchen preparation take a bit of time. It’s advisable to arrive early to avoid a long wait; otherwise, your order might be delayed until the fish reaches room temperature before it’s your turn.

Plenty of seats, with parking available outside.

We used to love this spot for its friendly staff and the great deal of no minimum order. That’s changed.

The new minimum purchase is frustrating, especially since they refused my order for being just slightly under it. What made it worse was the timing: it was 6 p.m., they had no customers, and three workers were doing nothing. The refusal was simply unreasonable.

Now, with a minimum and bowls costing over $20, the value isn’t there. The quality of the soup, the facilities, and the service are all better elsewhere. I’ll be taking my business to their competitors.

I got a cumin flavor spicy dry pot (孜然香锅). The flavor itself is pretty good, but the dish as a whole fell flat because they didn’t cook it long enough or mix it well enough, so the flavour was inconsistent throughout the dish, and some things felt undercooked. Kind of like when you stir fry something and your pan is too small so some things don’t get enough heat or sauce. The white rice is okay but not great, and they need to add soy sauce or ponzu to the sauce bar so that you can thin out your dipping sauce. In general, the ingredients look pretty fresh and they have a decent variety, but this did not meet expectations for me. Btw their rate for malatang is $14.99/lb, this amount cost ~$27 after tax.

This place is in a food court, you can select toppings (meats, shrimp, veggies, noodles, etc) and it is made into a hot pot. There are lots of options and it tastes very good.

The portion of malatang is little bit weird. It seems lighter than what’s shown. I ordered both 1.8lb here and in YGF. I can got overly full in YGF but just okay here.
